a bit boring so far.
hope it gets more interesting next episode....

Brugmansia · 07/01/2014 21:36

I've never seen the voice so don't care if it's overly reliant on that format. I love a good cooking competition show though and one with Anthony bourdain is even better.

StickEmUpBigStyle · 07/01/2014 21:38

Loving it. That celebrity client one with the crab shell!
Oops

wetaugust · 07/01/2014 21:40

It's dreadful.

At least with The Voice we too hear the voice so can make our own judgements.

On The Taste it's like listening to a load of wine buffs describing something that you can't see or hear or taste.

Boooooooring.

bisjo · 07/01/2014 21:43

It seems really really dull. Maybe it gets better as the series continues. I don't get why it is called 'The Taste' when it is really taste and visual. Maybe it would be more interesting if they had to eat wearing a blindfold Grin

MoreSkyThanWeNeed · 07/01/2014 21:49

Nigella's face is lit up like Morticia Addams.

JanetAndRoy · 07/01/2014 21:52

I'm enjoying it, but not sure why.
It's a bit rushed, we don't get to see much cooking yet.

madamecake · 07/01/2014 21:53

Was really looking forward to this, but it is so boring! Definitely over hyped on the trailers.

Moresky I just said the same thing to DH. Far too much make-up and poor lighting.

Extremewife · 07/01/2014 21:56

Yes need to see another episode Jury's out for me so far and I do love a cooking programme

Rather embarrassing for that professional chef to lose out to a home cook!

bisjo · 07/01/2014 22:00

Is the entire series just on spoons?

gaggiagirl · 07/01/2014 22:08

Was a bit dull but since I adore nigella I'll certainly watch it next week.

JockTamsonsBairns · 07/01/2014 22:12

Not really getting the selection process. By the time the final two contenders got their chance, Anthony and Ludo had already filled their teams Confused

WillieWaggledagger · 07/01/2014 22:16

i wish they were blindfolded, would be much more entertaining

Eastpoint · 07/01/2014 22:52

I was really disappointed, I kept falling asleep, not enough about the dishes & too much choosing contestants.

Brugmansia · 07/01/2014 23:30

Wasn't choosing the actual contestants the point of the first episode? Don't get the complaints about not being able to make our own judgements on the actual food. It's no different to master chef in that respect. I'm hoping that it will be a bit more like Aussie masterchef, so a slower series that you actually get to know the contestants.

Italiangreyhound · 07/01/2014 23:31

It made me hungry!

Ellenora5 · 08/01/2014 09:39

I liked it, my sister watches it in the states and she said it's quite popular, I think as the series goes on the other mentors taste the food of the contestants from the other kitchens

I agree though that for the final two it was a bit unfair

Ludo is a lively little soul isn't he Grin
