Looks like they're going down that route to me, has anyone heard?

It is very likely

CorrieDale · 24/07/2006 21:06

The way she was tonight, I think so! Poor lass. They haven't even let her breastfeed (and DH and I both agree that she just would, in RL)

Bagpuss30 · 24/07/2006 21:07

Yes, I thought this!

Bomper · 24/07/2006 21:13

It just reminded me of myself, the manic high swiftly followed by the awful low!! Especially with all the stress going on before the birth, the fact that he was premature, AND delivered in less than perfect circumstances. Yes, I know it's just a programme, but I can really relate!!

I said that to dh last night (oh and the birth was so funny I wish mine had been that quick being a first timer and all that!)

Bozza · 25/07/2006 15:14

Yes I think she would have breastfed and was disappointed that she isn't doing. Knew that she couldn't be as soon as I saw her wearing that dress.... Birth highly unrealistic wrt to mess etc. I had a home birth and it wasn't very messy but we were prepared. Also found her ease of movement after the birth somewhat optimistic. And I speak as someone who had a 2 minute second stage with DD and no stitches. I moved a lot easier than with DS but was still a little bit on the stiff side.

That story line was p*ssing me off big time. I'm sure dh was sitting there wondering how super woman Clare could do all that when I could barely get out of my pyjamas before lunchtime when I'd had ds1 and ds2...

saadia · 25/07/2006 15:22

I saw that and thought it was remarkably unrealistic, it seemed just like any other day in their house and the baby was invisible. I have to say that I thought Friends, when Rachel's baby was born was a bit closer to the truth, with her desperation for sleep and the baby's incessant crying.

ameli · 27/07/2006 00:58

guys, its just a Soap, how realistic do you actually think it can be?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/07/2006 01:01

As long as they dont have her trying to kill the baby or something daftly extreme like that. I dont believe they will be particularly sensitive to the issue, because, lets face it, if you have depression, you are just mental, right?

theladyvanishes · 08/08/2006 10:17

she tries to push the baby into the canal

HappyDaddy · 08/08/2006 11:34

Why do these soaps always rehash the same old story lines? It's so crap.

Charlee · 08/08/2006 11:39

I read she leaves the baby in a taxi and buggers off without it! dont know anymore not a avid corrie watcher myself.

Bomper · 08/08/2006 12:57

WTF?! I noticed when Bev brought him back the other day, she didn't look too pleased to see him, so when does it all escalate? Anyone know?!
