Normally detest Deadenders but thought tonight's episode dealing with the gay son was extremely well-written and well-acted.

DH's New Years resolution was to stop watching the endless misery that is Eastenders but now he's not so sure.

We were both in tears

He still does the 'Geezah' voice, but yes, I've been surprised, he can.

I saw a snippet, thought it was from the Joey Tribbiani 'Smell the Fart' school of acting.

We are talking Enders here squoosh not the RSC.

He was terrible! Too much Botox in the forehead meant he was going that weird crying face when nothing but the mouth moves.

I don't think he can act at all - if EE has done anything, it's highlighted that.

We were impressed as well. They have turned the gay son storyline on its head nicely. Dad being sip portico and Mum upset. Nicely done as you expect DD to be the homophobe given his geezer persona. Can't believe I am praising EE. Generally it is tosh.

I thought scene with gay son was odd because DD had his eyes fixed on a spot in the corner of the room - an autocue I guess. Wooden and unconvincing. Seen more animated acting by a basket of logs.

no bacon I dont personally but a close friend does and after the comments in zoo magazine it reinforces my opinion of him.
