Ben and Holly: gender weirdness

While I was watching Ben and Holly this morning I noticed that all the girls are fairies and all the boys are elves. But there is a fairy king and Ben's mother is an elf. What the hell happens during puberty in the little kingdom?

Maybe fairys are like chickens and only have one King rooster? Explains why the Elves set treated as the Proletariat too.

I've noticed this too, although there are a few girl elves but only king thistle, king marrigold, and I think grandpa thistle?

See, my theories sound.

It does indeed honey! Especially as king marrigold lives in another roost kingdom and the thistles get very agitated when they come to visit the hen house the little kingdom.

Yes, they do puff their chests and show off at each other a bit.

Erm. I don’t think primary school kids even know about puberty. Can’t we just allow kids the innocence that there age calls for.

No. I may be twelve years late, but there are MANY female elves and MANY male fairies. I am obsessed with Ben & Holly and watch it every single day.
