Doctor Who for me. Haven't even looked to see what else is on. Ruprekt, is that a reference to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels? I love that film.

TheGhostOfPortoPast · 15/12/2013 21:42

Definitely Downtown. After a perusal of the Radio Times i was generally disappointed.

TheGhostOfPortoPast · 15/12/2013 21:43

Though there are some great old movies on - Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Its a Wonderful Life...

GW297 · 15/12/2013 22:02

Davros · 15/12/2013 23:14

I love a Dirty Rotten Scoundrels too, both versions.
Looking forward to Doctor Who, Downton, Midwives. Have not had a good look at the Radio Times yet. Lots of old films

Thirteenth tale adaption as loved the book and Giles coren/Zander Armstrong show about Christmas drinks.

Davros · 16/12/2013 08:57

DD loves the modern DRS, it's perfect for kids. We all do the Ruprekt line "may I go to the bathroom?" And then sighs after wearing under the table.
Just spotted ad for Mad Dogs and will probably watch although it went down hill

hookedonchoc · 17/12/2013 10:06

I didn't know there were 2 versions Davros I only know the Steve Martin/Michael Caine one.

Gangsta Granny looks interesting. Xmas Smile

Badgerwife · 17/12/2013 10:58

I'm sure Dirty Rotten Scoundrel is on at some point this year, I spotted it in the Radio Times!

Aaah yes, Christmas Eve on Channel 5, 3pm

There's SO MUCH I want to see this year, not least because DD is now of an age when she's interested in cartoons other than Peppa Pig and might appreciate things like Finding Nemo and 101 Dalmatians; both are on during the hols; also the most recent Jane Eyre, Never Let Me Go, the final Harry Potter, even the Princess Bride is on; Drive with the lovely Ryan Gosling

Davros · 17/12/2013 11:08

The original DRS starred David Niven (Michael Caine) and Marlon Brando (Steve Martin). It is good and what a cast, Marlon Brando as Ruprekt!
I am also looking forward to that ZmR James ghost story scripted by Mark Gatiss. It's got a weird name, can't remember it
