If Matthew was pretending from the start, he's been pretending for the past 8 years! That's how long I've been watching the wright stuff and it's no secret he's scared if creepy crawlers.

Lady, I agree, David comes across as a kind, supportive person.

I thought it was strange that Matthew seemed so scared in the beginning because i was sure he was nasty about Helen Flanagan on his tv show last year-along the lines of why go in if you're so scared of everything. Makes perfect sense now that his fear was an act. You don't just get over phobias like that.
