This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

It's getting colder. Patients tend to spread the love and STDs in this season of goodwill. The Mill and Campus are over run with patients Shock. Everyone needs to pick up the pace...

I usually only mobile but couldn't get on any long threads until now

MsNobodyAgain · 30/11/2013 17:45

Right, now I'm straight Grin

The MN App is terrible. I use the mobile site but that is playing up at the moment with silly fonts and buttons not working so I've dragged the netbook out of retirement to go on the full site.

Jizz was massive. They must either be dumb or not wearing their glasses not to notice.

And yes thanks, I did recognise DS1 (I told him the tip about glasses did help). He was the narrator and did a beautiful job. He's VERY LOUD ALL THE TIME so it was the perfect part for him.

DS2 danced and grinned at me all the way through the assembly, only resorting to putting his fingers in his ears when he was handing the Indian sweets out which he brought straight to me of course

Back to Doctors. It generally takes a few weeks/months before they get a wriggle on replacing someone who has left. I don't know what takes them so long when they have the whole of Corrie/EE/Hollyoaks/Bill cast offs to go at. Hmm

Wow, that was a long post Blush

Sorry, got carried away with actually having a proper keyboard in front of me.

I like the FB people's comments. They take it so seriously

toldmywrath · 30/11/2013 19:14

Happy Saint Andrew's day everyone!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/11/2013 19:18

Great photo of Mrs T with all her wigs on the Fb page now.

Raahh · 30/11/2013 19:49

I wonder why there is no St Andrew's day emoticon?

There's one for every other St's day.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/11/2013 20:37

I saw that pic, Who. I love Mrs T.

Happy St Andrew's Day! I am half Scottish so am using that as an excuse to hit the sherry. I was decorating the Christmas tree, hence the sherry, but I abandoned the tree but not the sherry.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 30/11/2013 21:55

Half Scottish here too, but I don't really celebrate either St Andrews or St Georges Day. I also don't tend to bother with the seasonal emoticons because I am lazy and stick to the ones I know, but if there is one for all the others there should be one for St Andrews Day.

Might dust off my seasonal namechange for tomorrow though. DCs are nearly as excited tonight thinking about Advent calenders than they are on Christmas Eve itself. I put their new Christmas duvet covers on tonight to help things along a bit. Not sure if we will do the tree next week or leave it till the week after (not true actually, I know perfectly well the rest of the family will persuade me to do it next weekend). DH has this theory that Christmas trees will sell out by about the 15th.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/11/2013 23:04

DD is excited about her Advent calendar too!

I felt guilty about drinking the sherry without finishing the tree, so I made myself finish it. It looks lovely now, I'm so glad I finished it.

I just love looking at all the decorations when you get them out each year. It is like greeting old friends.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/12/2013 00:29

Have just remembered to read the spoilers - looks like a good week! Friday looks particularly Shock

cinnamongreyhound · 01/12/2013 08:23

My grandad was Scottish so I guess I'm a quarter Scottish, I always remember st Andrews day as it's my birthday Grin instead of a box of chocolates my mum bought me a thorntons advent calendar so I'm quite excited too!

We won't do our tree until next weekend as dss is with his mum this weekend and we always do it all together.

We caught Hollyoaks the other day and I was amazed at how many other soap cast offs were in it!

toldmywrath · 01/12/2013 11:48

Yes I wondered about the lack of St Andrew's emoticon-they have all the other ones. Perhaps mumsnet hq is peeved about the proposed secession from the union!

Weknowwhoyouare · 01/12/2013 11:48

Happy belated birthday CinnamonSmile

toldmywrath · 01/12/2013 11:57

Yes happy belated birthday & enjoy the advent chocs (all in one go?) Cinnamon

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/12/2013 13:12

Happy belated birthday Cinnamon! Cake Wine

cinnamongreyhound · 01/12/2013 13:44

I got a box of milk tray from dh so will not be too tempted to eat all of my advent calendar. Plus ds's will be paying attention so I have to be good toldmywrath Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 01/12/2013 16:03

Happy belated birthday cinnamon Cake

I seem to have become a delivery hub for all the presents my family are ordering as they work and I don't. I am running out of places to stash things!

[tchgrin]

That is all. As you were.

(Apart from [tchbiscuit]. I don't remember the biscuit having a hat before)

[tchshock]

OP posts:
ClayDavis · 01/12/2013 21:41

I think the biscuit did have a hat. It's the pombear that doesn't get one. Something to do with the biscuit being round and the bear not being round.

[tchsmile] [tchgrin] [tchsad] [tchwink] [tchshock] [tchangry] [tchenvy] [tchblush] [tchhmm] [tchbiscuit] [tchconfused]

MsNobodyAgain · 01/12/2013 22:08
Bear

You're right. I remember now. It kicks off about the bear every year.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/12/2013 22:44

Poor cold-headed bear. [tchsad]

Will no one think of the bears?

Raahh · 02/12/2013 13:08

I'm a terrible Doctors fan [tchsad]

I keep hoping i will get to watch live, but it just isn't happening. dd2 has made it clear she is not a fan. I am doing this parenting thing wrongGrin

Raahh · 02/12/2013 13:09

grr Christmas smiley fail- when did they change the codes back? Where did i get 'tch' fromXmas Confused

Weknowwhoyouare · 02/12/2013 13:24

I am doing too good job Raah ds was yelling for a feed /nap yesterday and dh pointed out it was 1:45 and he was waiting for his Doctors nap Blush
You can set the clock by him, he likes lunch at 12, tea at 5 and woe betide delaying it until 5 past.
