Corrie question - What happened to Paul?

I must have missed it whilst on holiday!!! Did they never recover from the ridiculous racist storyline or was it to do with Eileen not being able to deal with him being a fireman? How was it left? Is there a chance he could return?

I saw the title and thought,"Who's Paul? Was he Carla's husband who died in the car crash?" Shows what an impression Paul the fireman made on me!

I think after worrying herself stupid about him, he and Eileen decided they'd be better off splitting up, so she didn't have to worry any more!

I think she was upset that he was more concerned over how the whole racist thing affected him and didn't think how horrible it was for her as it was her friends etc and she realised that she'd never be as important to him as he was.

And where is Ken meant to be?

Ken is meant to be in Canada, I think, helping some family member, but for the life of me I don't know who they are or why he thought he'd be either use or ornament.

Ken's grandson is ill, so Ken has gone to Canada to look after him, but I've no idea which of Ken's various offspring is the parent. Deidre said she was missing him last night. It will be interesting to see what the outcome will be if it's bad news for William Roache.

It's Adam that he's gone to see: offspring of Susan (Peter's twin).

Did Corrie show him going off? I'm thinking of a scene like the one in Friends where Joey didn't want to get into the lift on Days of our Lives.

The Paul storyline made no sense even if you were watching it Bomper. She basically said she would never be as important as his job (as Cecy said) so she ditched him but he didn't want to leave at all he was trying to persuade her to stay together and saying he did love her. So she made herself unhappy for no reason.

The Tommy exit has to be the worst one though. He wasn't really annoyed about David before that, he was quite accepting of their friendship. And as if you'd react to an unwanted houseguest by MOVING TO SPAIN. You'd just go round t'Rovers and start shouting the odds at Orange Tina.

He hasn't got a pot to piss in and he's gone to Spain?

Yep, she came into Ty's trial and confessed all.

Surely there would have been a trial for KIrsty, even though she had confessed.

I just assumed it was "offstage".

I only realised last week why Tommy had vanished, I was waiting for him to return!
