surprised there's not a thread on this already, its an eye opening programme on CH4, about 3 porn addicts go and meet their idols in LA and they see all sides of porn.

Some interesting topics have come up already.

The blokes are a bit sad and v entitled. Will be interested to see if they change their minds by the end if the programme...

thenightsky · 21/10/2013 22:40

The blokes see it all as a bit of fun. Very depressing [sad

thenightsky · 21/10/2013 22:40

Didn't one of them just say the girls are a commodity to be sold?

FunnyRunner · 21/10/2013 22:44

Got sucked into watching this after 999 but it's actually really interesting. Especially interesting seeing how the guys are having a change of heart now they are seeing the behind the scenes stuff. The last scene was awful, the girls were so exhausted :(

meekenough · 21/10/2013 22:49

Johnathan bloke (wheelchair user) will be the hardest nut to crack I think) they seem like decent enough blokes, ordinary blokes.
Not basement dwelling fat pervert would be serial killers like most people would think.
I laughed out loud at that camera man bloke doing a spot of post sex cleaning haha,

The last interview seems to have had a big impact - even on Jonathan! It was AWFUL stuff but good that Vanessa gave them the real scoop.

I watched this and was quite shocked on the English guys attitude but then I am in my late 40's. I didn't think they did seem that nice the guys - the young Essex guy was very misogonist, the chap in a wheelchair was very fixed in his views - no wonder his relationships kept failing. I was pleased that by the end they had changed their attitudes. But gosh such effort just to get 3 men to change. I thought the director was very clever in how s/he had structured their introduction. AWFUL business though and that live show was just awful.

I don't think he was misogynistic, I think he was like 25 thats 2 years older than me and can't functionally sexually? a young man? that must be awful, he must be very insecure....I wonder how many of his 65 ONS stuck around.

The gay bloke didn't seem bad felt a bit bad for him when his illusions were shattered.

Both of the heterosexual men were misogynistic.

xenologist · 24/10/2013 03:49

The programme gave no coverage at all about how boys and young men are exploited by the sex trade.

meekenough · 24/10/2013 09:20

I think the wheelchair user was the more out of the 2, I think the young lad a much a victim of the porn industry tbh.

very good point Xenologist,It was quite biased looking back.

Just watching this now. What an eye opener. Raises a lot of questions. Well worth a watch. It's sad really.
