Delighted salvo has returned but disappointed with the new livia who again seems to be a non Italian actress who is dubbed.
Very funny that the same Fiat Tipo is used in both young and old Montalbano .
Mimi is improved by the tash tho.
So makes me want to go to Sicily

Agree that having been sceptical about TYM, have not got used to him, and so the original does seem a bit old and porky . Didn't notice the dubbing of Livia, but did think she was a bit too glam - if Salvo had aged 15 years from when Francois was 5, (and, say at least 5 more from TYM, she should have aged a bit more too...).
Did notice that apart form the opening credits, they don't make much of the scenery, whereas in TYM is almost like an ad for the Sicilan tourist Board ( in a good way, love it!).
I also wanna go to Sicily.....

Nice coming back but agree re Livia replacement and the aging. Assume that Mimi had to grow the tash to try to follow on a bit more from YM - didn't like it!
All I can say is I'm never going to Sicily if all the women are that glam/sexy/available
