Liz Macdonald's entrance!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has to be up there with TV gold Bet Gilroy kind of moments for me. I mean the Cruela (Glenn Close) DeVil leg stepping out of the car - just fab fab fab. And the screeching of " a said pack it IN !!" and to Toxic T "take the grin off yer face or you'll be owt that winda teeth first" or even, "get yer scrawny backside owt...yer barred!"

How come Tommy's still on screen? Has he been reprieved?

There will be ructions, consequences and awful crying faces for days now.

Am I being a bit thick? Yes David is evil and smarmy and elicited a creepy poison-pen letter revenge campaign...but his brother and wife slept together. Surely they are in the wrong??

Yes they are in the wrong. David's previous history of evilness is shocking. Do not worry the Platts will all be sitting around the Christmas table as if nothing happened.

Who are the genuinely likeable characters?

I like:

Rita, Deirdre, Steve, Norris, Mary and Peter and that's about it.

I am not a die hard fan, and catch the Omnibus every now and again but I like

Steve (except his hair)

Are there any happy relationships/marriages?

no, can't think of any.

Even if they are currently happy they come from unhappy relationships and it prob won't last.

It's sad a bit because every street must have a happy family-married with children. In Corrie there is-

Deidre & Ken (oh dear)
Sally & Kevin (oh dear)
Tyrone and Thingy (a child each from another relationship)
Steve and Hearsay
Dev and his DC
And lots of other families that I can't name but have split up/divorced etc?

Is anyone still with who they started out with?

no, no character still with first partner.

Not sure there is in any soap

I suppose it's because actors/actresses leave so regularly.

But I would think a street like that would have a couple of older people who are still married to each other, and a family of Mum, Dad and 2.4 children that are happy.

Rubbish entertainment though.
