This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

If you like a world more WTF than Willy Wonkas, you're in the right place. Please join in whether you are a regular, a newbie or a lurker. It's good fun Grin. Doctors brings us Austen week next week. Doctors and Austen? How?

Raahh · 11/10/2013 14:17

MsN- don't you dare!

MsNobodyAgain · 11/10/2013 14:20

But Raahh, my toenails really need doing. I went through a pop sock today Grin

leezl · 11/10/2013 14:25

Ooh thanks for the reminder about the winter duvets!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/10/2013 14:28

Just watching yesterdays, I can see a bit more of the mothers side from this episode.

toldmywrath · 11/10/2013 16:26

I thought Fleur was really well acted & I sympathised with her! Social workers get a bad name, we don't get to hear about the good work they do. Oops, ranting a bit there Blush

leezl · 11/10/2013 16:29

Agree Toldmywrath, I hate seeing social workers demonised on TV

OohDoctorDarcy · 11/10/2013 16:49

I thought Fleur was quite well done and I work with social workers

ClayDavis · 11/10/2013 19:23

Glad that Fleur was well acted in this story line. They needed to do something to counteract the horrifically lazy stereotyping they did with the Joe story line.

Just realised I'm going to miss Austen week Shock. You'll have to keep me updated on this thread.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/10/2013 19:50

Haven't watched today's yet, was helping at school.

MsN - I have warned you about missing Austen week before. I also went to trouble of writing you a little cut-out-and-keep set of notes on the relevant characters, so you have no excuse! Let your toenails grow! Plus, you really don't want to miss Zara singing, do you?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/10/2013 19:51

Anyway, it isn't a week. It is a week and a day! 6 episodes! (But only two in costume)

Raahh · 11/10/2013 19:56

It is going to be GREAT!

I did giggle at your toenail going through a pop sock , MsN. I used to wear pop socks for work under my trousers- it was my 'please don't let me get runover' look.

I have turned on the tv to a programme where a dog is being photographed wearing a beret. Makes 'Doctors does Austen' seem like the sanest idea anyone at the bbc ever had. ever.

ClayDavis · 11/10/2013 20:25

Envy it's going to be so WTF.

toldmywrath · 11/10/2013 20:28

I calculate that there will be approx 10% more viewers, because the Austen Week was advertised at the end of Holby City the other night. that'll be about 75 people then

Raahh · 11/10/2013 21:22

I cried watching Holby because Hansen (sp) leftBlush

toldmywrath · 11/10/2013 21:24

He smiled as well-it was really emotional. But I hope Channers dies (Chantelle) as she really grates-her stupid inane grin-she's the best nurse at Holby according to Diggers. God help us all!

Raahh · 11/10/2013 22:20

Oh lord, Channers and Diggers are sooo annoying. I wish the car had blown up.

Grin
toldmywrath · 11/10/2013 22:26

Hahaha Grin @ Raahh great minds think alike.

madhairday · 12/10/2013 10:05

I did think Channers looked so much nicer without all that cack slapped on her face.....my dd loves her, so she can't die!

Can't wait for next week - but only 2 days in costume? Huh! need more than that in order to appreciate TBFE in breeches for a longer time

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/10/2013 10:39

I haven't watched Casualty / Holby for years and years.

I'm just watching yesterday's now.

Can't wait to see TBFE in breeches, I had a VERY fruity dream about him last night, and I can tell you, he didn't disappoint! Shock Blush

cinnamongreyhound · 12/10/2013 11:39

I was forced to watched holby when I lived at home but I love casualty. Only watch it occasionally as dh hates it with a passion!

We watched the tatoo programme on 4od last night, really enjoyed it. I find tatoos fascinating.

OohDoctorDarcy · 12/10/2013 11:54

Casualty & Holby here too. and Waterloo road which excels at WTF
I like Malik , hope he doesn't leave

AnneEyhtMeyer · 12/10/2013 12:47

Just read the spoilers - bloody hell, Heston's a bit of a goer! Shock

OohDoctorDarcy · 12/10/2013 12:57
Shock
MsNobodyAgain · 13/10/2013 09:16

We're in danger of falling off the Telly Addicts front page Shock

What a horrible wet weekend as well, DS1 is going to camp tomorrow for 5 days. Hope the weather picks up.

I tried to get DS2 to go as well but he refused. Oh well, 2 DCs is easier to handle than 3 anyway. Grin

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheBonnetsGo · 13/10/2013 09:21

I've missed the last couple of days, so haven't got round to posting. Hope DS1 enjoys himself MsN, despite the weather. I am short of one DC this weekend too, DH has taken DD to visit his parents (DS and I stayed here foa a prty and to look after the cats). We had a nice time last night, party, followed b Indian takeaway and Strictly and an early night with books and snuggles in my bed. This morning we have watched the F1 together (not so good!).

Anne - was it you exhorting me to make a Christmas cake a couple of weeks ago? Today's the day!

Is it with me catching up with Thurs and Friday on Iplayer? If they were BAH I won't bother, but I want to find out what happened to thin-girl-in-sumo-suit.
