This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

If you like a world more WTF than Willy Wonkas, you're in the right place. Please join in whether you are a regular, a newbie or a lurker. It's good fun Grin. Doctors brings us Austen week next week. Doctors and Austen? How?

just 2mins into today's episode and already (after yesterday's) thinking Zara should have been on bullying the viewers to read the Austen collection before watching

I've never seen Glee and only saw Miranda on the Queen's Jubilee concert, where I thought she was cringey. Ought to give her another chance really.

Agree totally about Piers Morgan, he is a real creep, but his interviews are good.

WhoKnowsWhereTheBonnetsGo · 18/10/2013 21:24

Ah, thank you MsN. not contrived at all then

SacreBlue · 18/10/2013 21:44

Ahhh still not reading upthread as not finished this episode but £100??? for not reading the book?

curlyclaz13 · 18/10/2013 21:45

A friends Dad said I was like miranda, he was hammered and I'm not sure if it was meant to be a compliment or not but I like her !

HoggyTruffle · 18/10/2013 21:45

I'm having flashbacks about Barnaby Bear. That was a seriously WTF children's show.

SacreBlue · 18/10/2013 21:54

Am obviously missing out on lots not being wholly familiar with Austen Sad but staying in heels when you've hurt your ankle? Broke mine and no way would I have been walking upstairs to Drs.

Raah 'considerable mouth' Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 18/10/2013 21:55

It is for charity though, that's why their reading I the first place I believe.

One of customers said I'm like Caroline catz from doc Martin, dh and I agreed we wouldn't be upset if I woke up and looked like her but I really can't see it myself! Dark hair and that's about it!

Raahh · 19/10/2013 10:37

Many years ago, a very strange customer walked up to me and told me I looked like Gloria Estefan (when she had curly hair). He also claimed to be the Archangel Michael, though. He was very drunk- which was worrying, as it was 6am (but it was an airport, he might have overdone the dutch courage).

I have read the spoilers. I doubt it will matterGrin

MsNobodyAgain · 19/10/2013 14:31

In my early 20's with a very slim figure, and long brunette hair, I was often compared to Julia Roberts Halloween Hmm

In.my.dreams.

Ds1 is back from camp. I missed him. I may have cried

I've also read the spoilers which seem to self-destruct from my memory 30 seconds later.

curlyclaz13 · 19/10/2013 20:35

In my late teens people used to say I looked like Nicole Kidman. Probably only due to my hair and being pasty of complexion !

Raahh · 20/10/2013 10:12
Sad

I am not feeling well today. I am achey and have a sore throat. DD2 thinks it is very funny I cannot speak. I am wallowing in self pityGrin

MsNobodyAgain · 20/10/2013 12:56

Oh dear. We've all had something like that. Felt utterly dreadful and croaky but it passed within 48 hours. Hope you feel better soon Raahh.

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/10/2013 16:31

Thanks MsN- I went back to bed, and feel a lot better than i did. Still not much of a voice, which makes yelling at the dcs a bit trickyGrin

And I hid this thread somehow!!Shock

Raahh · 20/10/2013 17:29

I'm sat watching cbeebies with dd2Blush

GIMP is on- the episode where Miss Smiley (Mrs TGrin) gets married. If only it was Hestembe.Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 20/10/2013 17:44

I know. That beautician woman is just too 'coarse' for Heston. Nice to see him getting a storyline though that doesn't involve 6tl.

On a different note, I have just masaccred prepared a whole pineapple for the first time ever. What a load of faff and mess that was! Reminded me of an unfortunate incident with a rock hard swede (the vegetable, not an inhabitant of Sweden).

OP posts:
Raahh · 20/10/2013 17:58

at 'rock hard Swede' . Like Benny from Abba, doing death metalGrin

Pineapples are a faff. I do not care if they are 69p in Aldi (they were the other week, i think), for about the same I can buy a tin that is all nicely sorted. Without getting the prickly bits stuck in my fingersGrin

However, I have just had a pomegranate. Equally bloody faffyGrin

Ooddoyouthinkyouare · 21/10/2013 09:03

Way behind here as I missed Thurs & Fridays and didn't want spoilers but gave up. Watched Thirs and loved the zombies and Barry!

Anne love the name.

Whoever is feeling rough, me too, horrendous snotty cold.

Been DIY ing by mainly watching and ordering dh and totally over did it as I can hardly walk today and my hands are crap.
Should catch Fridays and then today's live.
Hospital tomorrow with ds and an all day job as we have to go 1.5 hours away to a different one than usual. Bit nervous.

MsNobodyAgain · 21/10/2013 09:23

Good luck for tomorrow Ood.

I have had THE most vile weekend ever but your name change made me smile this morning so thanks for that. Halloween Smile

Thought of this thread yesterday - did anyone see Points of View? Doctors got a right slating for going all Austenesque!!

MsNobodyAgain · 21/10/2013 09:36

Did it? How funny!

I didn't even know Points of View was still going, I used to love it.

OP posts:
MsNobodyAgain · 21/10/2013 09:43

OP posts:
Raahh · 21/10/2013 10:12
