Obviously not all travellers agree with the views and This isn't representative of travellers in general...
However - I'm surprised by the statistics and the opinions on breast feeding.

Also that man being killed 5 days after his baby was born

I just said to dp 'did I just see what my eyes think I just saw?' a tiny baby with someone putting a fag to its lips after a child says 'give her a smoke'.... and the baby's nails painted red so she can look her best...

I mean I know its obviously edited to give it a certain slant, but

It's not edited in a good way. I'm sure the producers read MN a lot - hence the shot of the toddler eating a sausage roll.

The breast-feeding did surprise me, but I can only guess that perhaps it isn't seen as modest?

This funeral is a damn sight more cheerful than any I've been to though!

my friend who is irish (not a traveller) told me that breastfeeding is seen as you being poor,have no idea if this is true though

Yes I was shocked that the mum doesn't tell her daughter about how you have a baby until she is married.

What does she tell them about periods then?

How can they see breastfeeding as shameful, and dress in that way?

Also, go back a handful of generations and there was no formula, so I'm sure breastfeeding was 'cultural' then.

Lovely that she has ambitions for her children, but I can't see it happening with them travelling every few weeks.

Im watching this now- i just feel so sorry for some of the people in this programme( all the c4gypsy programmes) there just seems to be this overwhelming ignorance about so many things. I mean imagine keeping from your children how their own children will come about. Just leaving them til their wedding night to find out

Also- is anyone else surprised by how few people attend the christenings in comparison to all the other ceremonies they celebrate?

I really do not like them, editing or not! Rough treatment of the babies it's head was all over the place
