I signed to free trial. Love it. £5.99 a month thereafter.

It is so worth it. I don't watch ~normal~ tv anymore just netflix and I player.

googlyeyes · 30/09/2013 23:27

Absolutely worth it. Loads of fab series on there and the kids adore it too. Excellent value for immediate streaming of great progs/ films

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 01/10/2013 07:22

Definitely. I signed up about 3 weeks ago and have watched all of Breaking Bad Grin. I am going to carry on with my subscription as there is loads I want to watch, much cheaper than box sets.

I watch it through our Wii console but now want one of those Smart TV's. DH says no but he only watches sport and old films anyway.

Fairylea · 01/10/2013 07:25

Love it ! We have enjoyed breaking bad, downton abbey, orange is the new black, loads of films.... it's brilliant. We did have the lovefilm equivalent and cancelled that.

Is it worth it if you already have Sky+? I can't imagine going back to watching anything "live" again. I just choose from the planner.
Do you have to watch on a computer? Can you save for later?

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 01/10/2013 16:34

We have Sky+ and watching Netflix is more like watching a DVD, well to me it seems like that but others may disagree. You sign up online and then you just pick what you want to watch from a menu. i watch it through a wii console onto the TV, Netflix menu is on there. Wii is connected to TV and also to wifi with ethernet cable. You can also connect the computer to the TV with a cable and watch it that way, or straight from your computer, ipad or phone. I also think you can use a PS3 or X box instead of a wii.

Of course if you have one of the new Smart TVs its on there anyway.

I was a bit dubious at first but my DS (20) helped me set it up, (Its very easy but I'm a bit thick when it come to this sort of stuff) and now when I want to watch it I just turn on the wii and use the TV to watch.

You can just watch as much as you want then resume watching from where you left off and rewatch things if you want.

As the first month is free I would probably sign up like I did as i just thought if it didn't work I could just cancel.

secretscwirrels · 01/10/2013 16:40

Mmm tempted. if only to see what all the hype about Breaking Bad is about. DS watches it on some dubious and probably illegal website.

JennyPiccolo · 01/10/2013 16:44

There's loads of videos online which show you how to access US Netflix with your UK account. It's ace.

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 01/10/2013 16:50

Oh my DS used Netflix for the free month, he's at Uni so moneys tight and then cancelled it because he downloads everything from one of those dubious websites. I wouldn't know where to start with those. I would definitely get it for Breaking Bad as I did, I am going to keep my subscription going as there is a lot I want to watch and its a lot cheaper than box sets.

glastocat · 01/10/2013 16:59

Loved it and miss it, it hasn't come to Oz yet :(.

EstoyAqui · 01/10/2013 17:44

It's amazing. I can watch on my phone in bed when DH sleeps. The choice is great and I love how it now recommends against profiles. It is definitely worth the £6 I pay monthly.
