Dexter, Homeland, Dexter and Dexter Grin

Salbertina · 29/09/2013 19:19

Did you really hate Breaking Bad? Only saying that because I love both Nurse Jackie and Orange is the New Black and love BB more than anything I've ever watched! Mind you, I couldn't get past the first episode of either Dexter or Sopranos, so it's quite possible to have a spiky profile!

Do like Homeland, but the second series was awful. Still keeping the faith for series 3 though!

Scandal is the new one I'm enjoying at the mo

cocolepew · 29/09/2013 20:22

It 's alright Grin

It's the very last Dexter tonight, I'm not happy.

Loved Damages and The Sopranos

IDugUpADiamond · 29/09/2013 20:30

I absolutely adored Nurse Jackie and Orange is the New Black. I don't watch Dexter because I don't like gory stuff. I couldn't get passed the first episode of BB.

I love Suits and I know everyone's already watched it but at the moment I'm watching The Killing and loving it, although it is mostly because of Joel Kinnaman Grin.

Salbertina · 29/09/2013 20:32

Loved first Damages and then all got a bit silly, samey and gratuitous, i thought.

I watched 1 & a bit of BB- thought v original (very!) , quite clever script, plot and good acting. But then. For me, so what? Just don't enjoy shootouts etc and didn't grip me at all. I just cant be bothered watching anything any more unless it really entices me away from MN etc

I SO wish Nurse Jackie had continued - fab characterisation, gripping and v clever. Even Orange not quite as good.

Diamonds (are we twins? Grin) Love The Killing also. Am just starting series 3.

Damages.

Salbertina · 29/09/2013 20:48

Oh, no Suits on Netflix, shame.

Another vote for Scandal. It has strong female characters, which I suspect is a requirement?

Oh, or what about Suburgatory?

Salbertina · 29/09/2013 21:05

I guess it is ideally. Sadly neither is on Netflix.

The Big C is very very good
Parks and Recreation, very different, an acquired taste, but worth it
Community was very enjoyable but got silly (like Lost but in a different way)
Six Feet Under is very old but if you haven't seen it it's well worth it

IDugUpADiamond · 30/09/2013 20:16

Parenthood

Fairylea · 30/09/2013 20:18

Another one who can't believe you love orange and nurse jackie and not breaking bad....!!! I love all three, they are all sort of similar in the characters and modern themes etc.

Anyway...hmm... thinks....house of cards? Sons of anarchy?

IDugUpADiamond · 30/09/2013 20:40

I also really enjoyed Big Love

Salbertina · 30/09/2013 21:22

Ah, none of them is on netflix except house of cards which i loved back in 90s, will watch again!

Another vote for Weeds.

Did you watch Lillehammer? Strange but v good.

Salbertina · 30/09/2013 21:31

Yeah, quite like Weeds, a slow-burner but warming up nicely.

I'm now going to watch Weeds, Big Love and Nurse Jackie. I hadn't heard of either of them before and both look good. Also already wanted to see Sons of Anarchy and House of Cards. I find Amozon quite handy for reviews of stuff.

Signed up to Netflix recently and loved Breaking Bad, watched it all in 2-3 weeks and caught up in time for the finale.

So much telly so little time Grin

Salbertina · 01/10/2013 06:20

Oh Kata, you've made my day --year-!
I hadn't realised Nurse Jackie was still going, yay!
