Vampire Diaries and The Originals?

When do they start here? I've seen US dates ranging from 3 Oct to the 10th and that ITV2 have Vampire Diaries while Scyfy (sadly usually the death knell of all decent series) has got The Originals but I cant find start dates for the UK.
Anyone better ay googling that me?

The Originals is set for the 22nd October, don't know about Vampire Diaries though.
I don't think syfy is quite that bad, shows like Haven and Continuum have done well in recent years, and survived for more than one season! The Originals is on a different network in the US, I suppose it depends how it goes down over there whether it'll last though.
I hope it does though, I have a bit of a crush on Klaus

Yes, in the US it will be on the same channel as VD.

So looking forward to it, Klaus and Elijah have been the best thing in VD for years now.

Is anyone watching this? Really enjoying this season. Stefan is great when he gets to be anything other than broody and Damon has some great one liners. And I am loving human Catherine. Even Bonnie isn't annoying. ??
