I kind of started drifting towards the end, about the time of Bailey's wedding / Mrs Richard dying so it's the predictable cliffhanger I've forgotten. Something about a storm, I think?

And definitely have missed McSteamy and little Grey

The antidote to the predictable cliffhanger was that for once Meredith was able to have a life event (having a baby) without some mega-disaster befalling her personally. Despite the storm hitting and the power going out in the hospital.
