Just seen a trailer for The Walking Dead S4!! I actually squeed out loud. I never squee IRL. DP give me this look Hmm

So, Daryl fans, he'll be back on our screens in all his badass glory on 18th October on Fox.

those of us who can't wait will no doubt have already hypothetically worked out where we can hypothetically view it online after it has aired in the US Grin

true. Maybe they're the ones that get trampled by their little zombie friends. Or maybe the zombies eat their brains and that has the same effect as spearing through the eye,

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/11/2013 20:13

exactly pantsofsand - they dont starve, just wander looking for food

FaceAglowPantsOfSand · 15/11/2013 20:20

I'M SO EXCITED
Hope the dcs go to sleep without a fuss
I'm almost as excited about coming back and being able to catch up on this thread...

limitedperiodonly · 16/11/2013 10:02

I don't think we see enough people who've been eaten either. We have seen some snapping heads though.

Lizzie has taken over Carl's role as the annoying kid who puts someone else in danger every week. I wouldn't feel at all maternal to her. Murderous, perhaps.

I suppose she redeemed herself slightly by luring the zombie before she fell over her own feet but I can't remember why she was doing it. Was it a good idea or was it an irritating plot device to ramp up the terror?

Hershel had loads of those. 'Let's wheel the departed into another room so the others won't see me spike him. Where's the stretcher? Let's put him on it really slowly and amble out of the room. Let me cover his face up before I do it. I know, I'll waste more time by saying a little prayer.' Arggh!

susiedaisy · 16/11/2013 12:21

I'm wondering if Carole's really gone or whether she might team up with the governor?

Hope Glenn survives

Waiting for the showdown with Daryl and Rick!

Monroe · 16/11/2013 17:50

FaceAGlow I never got round to watching Revolution, although I always thought it might be something I'd enjoy, so no, name not from there Smile

I'm sure I read somewhere that Melissa McBride is still filming so Carol should be reappearing at some point. I don't think she would join up with the gov after knowing what he did to Maggie, Glenn and Andrea etc. but then again I never thought her character would change quite so dramatically so you never know. I can sort of understand why she did what she did and I do think she showed a lot of remorse only not in front of Rick. I thought she didn't put up much of a fight for the girls she promised to look after although that could be because she thought they would be safer at the prison than on the road with her.

I'm glad one of the first reasons Rick gave Maggie for sending her away was how Tyreese would react. Made me feel a bit warmer towards him in a way rather than it being him just making the decision iyswim. I think he was right about Tyreese. I can imagine him being a bit like a dog with a bone. He wouldn't let it lie if Rick lied and said he didn't know who did it and would be on at him constantly to find out and punish them. And it would have been really difficult to try and keep up the lie. And if he told him what happened there is no saying what Tyreese would do to Carol. I wish she had just lied when Rick asked if it was her and said no!

I have no idea how Daryl will take it. He always seems to listen to Rick and have a lot of respect for his decisions so he may try and see his point of view / or not! I have a feeling he is going to go and look for her.

I think Glen has a good chance now doc Bob is back and he is on the medication. I really enjoyed Hershal in this episode and felt so sorry for him when you saw him sobbing at the end. And dare I say it I'm actually liking Carl now too! He is more respectful, listens and does what he's told and can take down an army of zombies - okay in my book!

Dodgy gut poking girl is a bit Hmm Not sure what she is up to apart from creeping everyone out.

Whoops, that was a lot longer than expected Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/11/2013 18:05

carol did the right thing by burning those bodies, seems all those with flu/coughing etc have turned into zomblies so has made their save haven not safe any more

as much as no one wants their partner/sister etc killed, if they are a danger to you/others they have to be killed

kill or be killed Grin

I agree Glen has to live preciousbane - that's one of my favourite books, btw. All right, Lizzie gets a point there Grin

I like Carl now. Though I hoped that hat was gone for good.

The open cell doors were another thing that annoyed me. Hershel was so concerned about the sick people seeing the turned being spiked but surely the immediate problem would be keeping them physically safe from each other?

So you'd shut the doors. Then if someone turned you could deal with them and if a walker did somehow get out then at least the helpless living would have some protection from them.

I was touched when he was sobbing at the end though.

monroe I thought you were a Revolution fan too. I bailed out a few episodes from the end of the first series. The threads on here were as much about taking the piss out of it as admiring. They probably still are. It's just it got so ridiculous I said to myself: 'Enough!'.

That's a big thing for me. I watch crap until the bitter end - I saw all of Prison Break. It's just that my planner was filling up and I was spending hours watching shit when I should have been doing stuff like cleaning the kitchen floor or going out and meeting real life people.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/11/2013 19:06

limited im thinking of bailing myself on rev, just cant get into it this series, and yes we took the piss out of it Grin

Monroe · 17/11/2013 21:55

Yep, when everyone around you is dropping like flies you'd shut the bloody doors.

I'm guessing Monroe is a character in revolution then? I
Had the name a while ago and recently changed back to it so no can't claim its because I'm a revoltion fan, although I do like Billy Burke, is he still in it?

limited I'm like that with series, and books. I've started watching dracula and even though I wanted to love it and I don't I'm going to plod on regardless. In fact I'm half way through the second ep now and have no idea what's going on so I'm on here Smile

I think I read on the other thread the next wd ep is all about the governor. TBH I'm not that keen on the stand alone ones unless Rick is in them but still looking forward to it. Does anyone know how many more there are in this series? Are they definitely doing a season 5?

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2013 22:10

all caught up :o
off to catch up with the thread

Suddengeekgirl · 17/11/2013 22:13

Just caught up

Eeeeeeeek! Spent most of the episode shouting run away, shut the doors or kill it! Shock

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2013 22:18

yes I don't get why he made sucha big fuss of shuttingthe doors but didn't actually lock them. So when the shit hit the fan, they didn't help at all.
Blondes, they won't all die of the flu though. So Carole just killed two ill people.

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2013 22:19

And, without being too flippant, I'd rather die (I think) than have a breathing tube from a zombie's throat down my own. Poor glenn!

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2013 22:19

"Stop faffing and chatting to rick and go and see if any other have died!"
How often do farm animals get intubated btw?

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2013 22:20

do they get a catheter too? :o

Monroe · 17/11/2013 22:31

I think, I THINK, that he tore open a new tube and it was just the bag he reused on Glen. He definitely opened something before tubing him.

I still find it hard to believe he missed the giant poorly dying pig! Or that nobody pointed it out to him. I really liked him in this one. I think he would really struggle with what carol did seeing as he risked himself to save the others

StealthPolarBear · 18/11/2013 08:32

well that's a relief :o
In that case he should have let Maggie shoot him. She is a dead shot! I thought he was worried about her hitting the inner tubing.

limitedperiodonly · 18/11/2013 09:21

How often do farm animals get intubated btw?

Good point. He'd be a whizz at sticking his arm up a zombie's fanny all the way to the elbow though.

I can't imagine under what circumstances you'd need that skill though.

StealthPolarBear · 18/11/2013 09:25

Glad I am working from home today j am laughing very loudly

Suddengeekgirl · 18/11/2013 13:33

I know animals get intimates when they have GA for operations. Doubt you'd do that for any old heffer but probably would for a bull/ stallion/ make animal that's only purpose was lnocking up the whole herd of females.

Anyhow back to the point maybe he watched a lot of ER before zombie-apocalypse? I reckon I could have a crack after watching a few ER back to back. :)

Suddengeekgirl · 18/11/2013 13:55

Oh FFS! Angry

Please ignore my last post - it's so full of autocorrects and nonsense! Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2013 22:07

So will glen survive ......

susiedaisy · 22/11/2013 22:29

Just started watching. Not impressed with the governors beard!!WinkSmile
