For anyone who's interested. It's a double bill, first 2 episodes.

I strongly recommend that you don't read ahead for this. It's different and very entertaining. I love the brother's character.

Oh and ignore the dodgy accents.

I have set the sky+ for this, what is it about!

TotemPole · 17/09/2013 19:27

Street hustler Sarah witnesses the suicide of someone who happens to look like her. So she assumes her identity.

I don't want to say more because it will spoil it.

I've set this up to record on Sky+. Hope it's as good as it looks.

SaguaroBlossom · 21/09/2013 12:30

Ooh, we really enjoyed it, Totem, - as you say, different and very good.

ClayDavis · 21/09/2013 13:11

Saw the first one when it was on last week. Need to catch up with episode 2.

You're not wrong about the accents though. I got completely distracted trying to work out where people were from.

Raahh · 21/09/2013 14:15

Ha ha! We watched the first one last night- and dh, who had heard about it pretty much said the same as the OP- 'I won't tell you what it's about, it will spoil it. And the accents are all over the place'
Grin

I enjoyed it, think I've twigged (maybe) what is going on. It reminds me of another book/film that I won't mention in case of spoilersGrin.

hattymattie · 21/09/2013 18:52

I quite enjoyed this but had a lot of trouble working out which country it was in. She started with Australian accent, brother had British/London accent, then she went London, then put on a fake american accent. Then I decided Police cars were American - finally decided it was in Canada as at the end it said BBC co production with Canada.

ClayDavis · 21/09/2013 19:29

Well spotted, hatty. Went through the same process Aussie/UK/USA but didn't spot the Canada bit at the end so settled on it being set in USA.

AlphaBetaOoda · 21/09/2013 22:16

Just watching it now. Yes to the accents but I think I unintentionally read a spoiler so think I know what raah is on about.

ClayDavis · 21/09/2013 22:20

I've found it online and am now a few episodes ahead so I think I know what Raahh is on about.

GetStuffezd · 21/09/2013 23:30

Glad there were no spoilers in this thread. I'm fifteen mins in and just switched off as I was unimpressed and feeling ragey towards everyone in it. Should I persevere? I'm more than willing to be proven wrong! I often am... Sad

fussychica · 22/09/2013 16:26

Tried this on a whim. Totally hooked - hope it keeps up the pace.

ClayDavis · 22/09/2013 16:58

Give it another go, GetStuffezd. The first episode wasn't the best and I wasn't going to watch the rest but am now totally hooked.

SPsTwerkingNineToFive · 22/09/2013 19:42

I saw the first last night, watching the second now. I have no clue whats happening

TotemPole · 22/09/2013 20:13

GetStuffezd, stick with it for a few episodes but it could turn out that it isn't your cup of tea.
