Was it any good? I missed it completely the first time around, but am thinking of buying the box set.

I really liked Once Upon A Time, which I know has some of the same writers.

I haven't really watched that many other American series, other than Pushing Daisies and bits of The Mentalist and Glee. Oh, and a mid-series episode of Pan Am, but I couldn't really get into it (probably because I hadn't seen the others).

So, it seems quite a bit to spend if I'm not going to like it, but I don't want to read too much about it!

If you watched it, what other series would you compare it to? And any Other suggestions are welcome. I'd like something to get my teeth into!

I really liked Lost. Would have much rather have watched on on box set though as some of the episodes are so baffling that I'd forget half of it while waiting a week between episodes.

I'm re-watching Lost as I had it drip fed to me at the time via a friend who had the appropriate tv channel. I can't remember why but I never saw the ending, I think I missed the whole last series but I don't know for sure. I know it's supposed to be a real let down but it's always bothered me so I've now got the box set and am working my way through. I thought it was amazing at the time and I now think it is so much better watching it a few episodes a night as it is a busy plot. I've just got to the beginning of the 4th series, where it really starts to go weird!

I think that I saw the first three series & then it either changed to Sky, or I forgot/didn't notice it anymore.

Fairly recently watched it all & on the whole-loved it!

I really enjoyed the first few series but it got silly towards the end and I just wanted it to finish.

Still don't get the last episode. It was a big let down.

Poledra · 23/09/2013 13:34

Last episode was a let-down but overall, DH and I loved it. We started watchig it when it came on telly but new-borns and lack of sleep got in the way, so DH got me (us, really!) the boxset. It was much easier to watch back-to-back as it does have a very convoluted plot. Gwan, get it!

See you in another life, brother. Grin

its much better when you watch it close together as you can remember and keep up (sort of) with the plot.

DON'T READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN LOST......

Favourite scene ever is between Ben and Iliana when he tells her why he killed jacob 'I gave him everything and he didn't care' and he goes to join with Locke but she takes him instead.

Favourite couple scene is when Sawyer and Juliette remember each other in the hospital! :)

Loved Lost apart from the end. I've not watched a tv show and then been counting down the days till the next episode till Breaking Bad.

lottieandmia · 24/09/2013 10:36

I was glued to it for the first 4 series and then never got around to watching the last two seasons. I would like to watch them now but have realised the plot is so complex that I will have to watch the entire thing again as I have forgotten bits. The characters are great but really it's just all a bit too long. I found that unless I watched it all very, very closely I didn't understand any of it. So it requires a lot of your attention.
