Eastenders..... some questions?

Ok, i watch Eastenders, but get some what distracted when it's on on my phone mning some i miss bits.

1)So i know that Shirley was going to Greece, but came back because of the thing with Karl and Phil, but the next thing i saw was Jean leaving her a message and her phone being in the trash. Did Karl kill her?

2. When the car crash happened, Karl crashed on purpose, but what was he saying to Phil in the car, and was Phil not wearing his seat belt? or did Karl do something to it?

Erm so just two questions really, but would be great to know the answer!!

We don't know for certain if Karl has killed Shirley, but it looks fairly likely doesn't it.

Apparently Karl unfastened Philip's seat belt.

I thought he undid it, but as i say i wasn't really paying attention!!

Why were they are arguing in the car?
