Is there anything Channel 5 won't show?

They've just shown Police Academy 6. Even they must realise that this isn't going to appeal to anyone. Or is it just that they had 50p of their budget left and ninety minutes of Saturday afternoon viewing to fill?

The Police Academy films were very popular, they did make 7 of them after all!

Police academy films are brilliant! Granted, I've only seen one of them, or maybe them all in spurts. Who knows

Well, its not just C5 is it?

I like re-runs and repeats up to a point. Like reading a favourite book a few times. But even I've had my fill of constant repeats of - Midsummer Murders, Morse, Judge Judy, Gok Wan etc. I'm convinced some of them have been shown dozens of times.

I'm sure alot of the reasoning comes down to that last 50p as you say.

ITV seems to be the worse for constantly repeating films. Smokey and the Bandit seemed to be on EVERY saturday afternoon a few years back.

My DC like watching the repeats that are constantly on. To them it is the first time they have been watched.

Thank you, Zinger! It doesn't go unnoticed. Wink

I recognise there is some comfort in it sometimes. I like Columbo repeats. Its like roast dinner on a sunday.

However, I'd kill for the occasional decent, new drama. Its almost disappeared from our screens.
