Apparently an act the Sharon booted off at Judges houses, 6 years ago, is one of the 'returnees'. And Shazza gets emotional. Hmm

And there is 'Blackpool's answer to Jedward, Ryan and Lydia'. Rydia? Lyan?

Will they be like a little Same Difference? Will they wow the ARENA?

I can hardly waitGrin

Just marking my place.....

So what will SD mark 2's tag line be? 'We're the same..... But different!'

Raahh · 14/09/2013 13:28

SayCool- possiblyGrin

'Same Difference' were quite creepy. But looking back- given the whole High School Musical and then Glee thing that came along, with the right support they would have had a better career then Leon 'who?' Jackson.

But the trouble was... they were creepyGrin

Dh is working away all weekend. He'll be gutted to miss itGrin

I like to collect the woeful band names like 'Same Difference'. They have them on BGT too, always something cringy like 'It Takes Two' or 'Three's company'.
Logging in to mark place for later

Sue-I'm waiting for a 'Four Play' to make an appearance.

it's only a matter of timeGrin

Those band names always remind me of the ones you used to get on a Saturday night at the local working men's club.

And actually, the auditions have a definite whiff of 9.30pm on a Saturday at the Southerne Club, when anyone who fancied it could get up and sing.

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 14/09/2013 16:05

Grin at 'Four Play'

Having a mare with small children, might get very drunk mildly tipsy during XF tonight. Apologies in advance....

BOF · 14/09/2013 17:32

Five Alive? The Joy Of Six? Seventh Heaven? We Eight All The Pies? Nine Mein Fuhrer?

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 14/09/2013 17:33

Stand to At-ten-tion?

ZolaBuddleia · 14/09/2013 17:39

I thought the Euphoria Girls would have been fab for a target market of little children, surprised the judges didn't pick up on that.

Sorry, can someone remind me, how many people are there in the ARENA? Grin

Raahh · 14/09/2013 18:00

Zola- I think if they'd had an ounce of talent, I'd agree with you. There's always a market for a cheesy tween group. But they were very, very poor.

I'm not sure how many are in

THE ARENA

I may have heard 4000. But i don't think they mentioned itGrin

Raahh · 14/09/2013 18:01

See, they should hire us to offer number themed group names.

I mean, S Club 7, was a rubbish name!

OP posts:
SuePurblybilt · 14/09/2013 18:41

What was the S for, did we ever know?

SuePurblybilt · 14/09/2013 18:43

Are we doing Bingo yet?

ARENA
Age of contestant mentioned beyond the first introduction
Frequent mentions of children, if female
Dead Nan/dog/phone charger
Being like a little......... (extra points if slightly racist)
Pleather

Drink or vice of your choice for each. Any more?

Vivacia · 14/09/2013 18:52

Good list Sue, I think you've got the main ones.

How about Nicole (is it? I mean the American) stands up and dances with her arms in the air.

Lulabellarama · 14/09/2013 18:56

Is it too early for 'every time Louis tells someone they could win'?

TediousFool · 14/09/2013 19:01

I would say whenever Shazza says 'fabulous' but everyone would be passed out drunk before the first commercial break...

SuePurblybilt · 14/09/2013 19:04

ARENA
Age of contestant mentioned beyond the first introduction
Frequent mentions of children, if female
Dead Nan/dog/phone charger
Being like a little......... (extra points if slightly racist)
Pleather
Shitsinger doing the arms in the air dance. Or crying.
Louis telling someone 'you could win this thing'
Shazza saying 'faaaaaabulous'

Raahh · 14/09/2013 19:20

Sue- I have my suspicions about what the 'S' stood for. Grin

OP posts:
SuePurblybilt · 14/09/2013 19:24

Whatever it was for it was a better name than Hear'Say.
FFS
Or indeed Lidl Muffins, what is their real name? Little Mix? Or Lil'Mix? Nonsense.

Raahh · 14/09/2013 19:30

See, poor Lidl Muffins were victims of the 'we didn't do the research- we've chosen you a name someone else has already got' thing. They were 'Rhythm mix' i think, which makes more sense than Little Mix. Sort ofGrin

Hear'Say was, is , and evermore will be an irritating name. And it spawned Mykleen Ass.

And that bloke that tried out for the Voice Grin

OP posts:
SuePurblybilt · 14/09/2013 19:32

The poor balding Shrekalike? Sad Yes.
Liberty X was shit too. Is there just a random generator computer thing?

Raahh · 14/09/2013 19:35

Ahh, but- once again- Liberty X were just plain Liberty to start with. But some American band were already called that or something. They should sack the band namers. Grin

'Four Play' -it's the future.

BOF · 14/09/2013 19:38

We are wasted, we really are.
