I missed the bit with the Applewhite boy who'd run off with Brees daughter - did he end up dead ?? How ?

Shot by a police marksman. Betty saw SOC photos which had the brother's jacket over Melanie's body, not Caleb's. So she knew he was the real killer, rang Bree in the funny farm to tell her, and the police knew who they were looking for. When the runaways went back to Bree's house to rifle her safe, he popped in on Betty and she rang the police so that is how they knew where to find him. They could seem him threatening Bree with a handgun so they shot him through the window
