Though they say on twitter that it is Simon by sattellite.

Can't wait. Am ridiculously excited.

And am convinced I will miss the finale by being in labour pmsl. Am due 20/12 and have seen every final so far. But it would be a nice reason to miss it I suppose.

Have said alway through this pg that once x factor starts I will begin shopping properly for him.

Just hope that the winner isn't called Sebastian as that is what we are calling baby lol.

Saw an article in the paper tonight saying there will be something they're calling the "cruel factor" where people at bootcamp stage will think they are safely through and then find someone else has been chosen instead. That sounds horrible if it's true.

Am I right in thinking they have knocked the live auditions in front of an audience thing on the head, and it's back to just being in front of the judges? I'm glad if that is the case.

Glad Sharon is back, not sorry to see back of Shitsinger. Has Tulisa been booted off too, after the drugs thing?

I read on digital spy that Simon will be on the live shows as an impartial 5th judge with no category to mentor. Hope so!

I'm sure they've said EVERY year since Simon left that he was going to be there in some capacity.... I'll believe it when I see it.

Of course, they can always ask Robin Thicke to step in....

I don't really like the audition bits, and every year say I won't watch, and every year I get sucked in from the off.

Jahmene was promoting his album in the big Asda the other week. In fact, I think he did a 'tour' of a few Asdas, pmslGrin

Oh me too Raah. Last year DH and I said determinedly 'We shall not watch the auditions!'
And yet there we were, glued to the goggle box.
This year will be no different!

DH is going out tonight, and actually said 'Shall I cancel so we can watch X Factor?!' Grin

They've made the auditions even more complimacated this year - something like audition for the panel on the Sat and an audience on the Sun - presumably same song? Dunno. But sounds too much for me to follow.
And I shall miss Shitsinger, I liked her by the end.

Whatever happened to singing in a conference room in Birmingham in front of screens with past winners on, with Dermot hovering in the lobby? And the judges sitting in front of a big window, pretending to drink Coke? I miss that. The good old days. T'were all fields and fighty toothless wannabees.
