Anyone else fed up with violence, death, abuse, crime

We've had Top of the Lake, What Remains, Southbeach, And many others in the same vein. i wish for something a bit more cheerful or even slightly less violent.

Have been watching Starlings on Sky, and loved Last Tango in Halifax - any recommendations for something a bit uplifting with some nice people in it???

I know what you mean with Top of the Lake - very disturbing and depressing content! I did find myself getting very intrigued and watched all 6 episodes!!

Agree we need more uplifting stuff.

It is all the rage to be "dark" ie nasty, these days

DH said the same. I do enjoy a certain amount of crime dramas like Luther, but IKWYM. There needs to be more variety. Doc Martin is coming back on soon. I know it's a little daft, but DH and I like it because it's nice.
