Me too.. My grandad was a Taxi cab washer in Stepney, and grans dad died in a workhouse.. i feel its where my real roots lie. iyswim.

Not on in Scotland until 11pm, but looking forward to seeing it. He filmed some scenes in the call centre I work in .

My dad left school at 14 and worked in a garage, my grandad at 13 in a tannery.

I went to a Russell Group Uni and didn't feel like I belonged at all!

Thats what i think sums it up - the Jarrow crusade times - community' spirited' everyone helping each other out, retaining pride and dignity even though they were completely skint.

Wonder about his comment re. the call centres youngsters considering themselves classless.. I don't agree that as they get older they'll see themselves slot into a particular class.

I was just about to say he seems much better since he stopped knocking around with Cilla then I noticed she's on it next week. She really grates on me and I always wonder whether Paul is a diva like her behind closed doors.
