So, Breaking Bad should I watch it?

All TV series for the last ten years have passed me by. I have decided to do a pop culture catch up.

Started with series 1 of The Killing, really enjoyed it.

Where should I go next - what do viewers think of Breaking Bad? Any other suggestions?

Breaking bad is brilliant . have you seen Six Feet Under? ?

Yes! One of my favorite series' ever. had to persevere through first few episodes, then you will be hooked. We've got through almost all seasons on netflix in about 2 months.

Without a doubt. I know of few people who don't love it.

I wouldn't have said it was my cup of tea at all (drugs/crime theme) but it's really well done.

God yes, Breaking Bad is brilliant, I guarantee that you will never be able to just watch one episode at a time!

I second Six Feet Under, and also highly recommend The Wire which is truly awesome and full of hot men. Oh, and The Shield.

Agree with OutIntoTheBlue - stick with series 1 which takes a little while to really get going. By the time you get to Season 4, you will have no fingernails left

Dexter is a must watch.

Totally agree, I'm almost at the end of season 3 of Breaking Bad and I'm SOOO glad I stuck with it. The first few of season 1 I was thinking, "Hmm. am I going to stick with this?" but I did and... WOW, the character development is BRILLIANT!

Also, if you haven't watched Dexter as facedontfit says, DOOO IIIIIT!! I'm up to date with the US (season 8, episode 6) and the end of that episode was a KILLER! (no pun intended!). Can't WAIT to see how it ends, as this is the last season (no spoilers please anyone who knows!).

So yes, settle back and get acquainted with Walter and Jesse... gonna be a heck of a ride...

Breaking Bad is definitely my favourite (after Sopranos), Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones.

Pulls you every which way (ep 3 very dark)

Yes, it's fantastic. The characters have so many dimensions to them all. You end up rooting for drug dealers and being shocked by the amoral stuff from the "good guys". Total paradigm shift stuff.
