boogiewoogie · 02/08/2013 22:20

It's been uploaded on youtube just now if you've missed it.

NoelHeadbands · 02/08/2013 22:24

Ooh thanks boogie

Flobbadobs · 02/08/2013 23:01

Did we see Sherlock hiding at the end of the episode the first time they showed The Reichenbach Fall or did they add that bit on?
I hope Watson has a shave at some point this season!

invicta · 03/08/2013 04:46

I sure he was hiding.

invicta · 03/08/2013 04:48

Sorry. I'm sure he was hiding in the first one also.

Do you think they used the concept of falling and flying, as mentioned at the beginning. Not sure how this translates to the actual falling, though. A

diddl · 03/08/2013 12:35

So the big reveal is that Sherlock is alive??

Err-no shit! Sherlock

2rebecca · 04/08/2013 11:24

Surely that isn't surprising as he survives in the Conan Doyle story that the TV story was based on and them having another series to go. It's like being surprised that Dr Who doesn't die, although there we can't read the stories in advance.
I thought they clearly showed him in the graveyard at the end of the last series so there wasn't any suspense.

diddl · 04/08/2013 11:33

Yes, he was seen at the end of the last series.

The only "mystery" is how did he appear to be dead, isn't it?

kelticwitch · 04/08/2013 11:43

Is he the new Dr Who?

Flobbadobs · 04/08/2013 11:47

I wasn't sure if they showed that bit or not, DH agrees with you all, I must have forgotten about it.
DH thinks it's something to do with the drug used in The Hounds of the Baskervilles, Watson was exposed to it somehow and he just believed he saw Sherlock.

2rebecca · 04/08/2013 11:52

I thought a gunman was watching Sherlock though otherwise Watson could just have pretended Sherlock was dead and been in on it. Sherlock sent Watson off on a wild goose chase so couldn't have known he'd have seen the jump so Watson witnessing the jump can't be crucial to his plot or he'd have asked Watson to follow him not sent him off to see Mrs Mop in hospital.

2rebecca · 04/08/2013 12:05

I'm impressed with how much more interesting the TV stories and Sherlock Holmes character are than the Doyle stories.
I'd struggled with Doyle before but thought I'd give him another go as the TV stories were so clever.
The Doyle stories are still hard work. The Moriarty story is really bland with poor characterisation compared to the TV story.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 06/08/2013 18:41

It wasn't a big reveal and I don't think they meant for the 'news' to be that Sherlock is still alive.

The way I read that teaser was that Sherlock knows he has to, at some point, let all the people in his life know he is in fact alive. His expression in the last shot indicated that, IMO, in a 'This is going to be REALLY hard' kind of way Grin

I can't wait.
