If he didnt then why havent the police remembered that debbies car was a dark coloured saloon?

I don't think he did as he seemed to go off running away from the car through the wood rather than up the hill towards the road.

Yep you'd think the police would think it's a bit odd that Debbie's car is the same colour as the one that was supposed to be tailgating Gennie's.

Ooh good point! Have they done a post mortem? He said they're keepong the body for another few days. Maybe it's still to be done.

I've just looked up post-mortem and it says that the coroner usually requests one when the death is caused by accident or injury. It says that it is usually carried out between 2 and 3 days after death but sometimes within 24 hours.
