Starting tonight on C4. I wonder if it will be suitable for 10yo DD? They've "done" the Victorians at school so she might find it interesting. But the RT does say its a bit grim and the foreman regularly indecently assaults the women and girls! It is on at 8pm though.

there was a bit of text at the end of tonight's episode saying something like, these are the stories of real people. is that at the end of every ep? ive never noticed before.

All the real-life stories are on the Channel 4 page about it. Esther's story was very like her real life. But she actually asked for solitary confinement instead of having her hair cut off Also I believe old Mr.Greg died as a result of being attacked by a stag in the grounds two years before. Surprised they didn't include that!
