So, who watched HIMYM last night? Did anyone else squeal? <SPOILERS>

Ok, so I watched it back in may on the laptop, but there's something about seeing it on proper telly.

We finally saw The Mother!

First thing DH said to me was "She's not like Robyn, but I can see why she's different to all the others"

Apparently next season will take part over the wedding weekend, and everyone else meets her before Ted.

How do you think he finally lets go of Robyn?

She reminded me of lily

I watched it tonight, was like, omg! I was beginning to wonder if we would ever see her!
By the time we get to see the next season I'll have forgotten, I'm sure lol

Yep, season finale. S9 airs in the US in sept.

I thought "lily" too. I can totally see her with Ted. I was so excited. I was beginning to wonder. I didn't want a "this is the mother - end credits" for the final series, I want the payoff, I want to see why she's the mother instead of victoria. Not that I'm bitter about that.

I really wanted it to be Victoria! But I think it will be interesting to see how they introduce her properly and how she gets to know Ted, plus the relationship she develops with the others. I can't wait to find out the outcome of Barney and Robyn as well.

I'm going to be so impatient until September now

She looks right when you consider Ted's two children. Not that we see them much any more.

That's two seasons in a week where I've watched episodes and not realised they were season finales. (this and Nashville). I feel so deflated.

The kids must be about 40 now.

I loved victoria, the episode where she leaves ted breaks my heart. "I really hope you get her"

I like barney, the way he goes from damaged boy-child to sociopath is fab, like when he meets his dad for the first time, straight into the exploding meatball sub. NPH has taken a terrible character and made him lovable. And I love barney with robin.

I'm really glad that they didn't end up going down the predictable route of Ted and Robyn ending up together. The storyline between them has been great and the on-off thing interesting but ultimately it's nice that they've gone a different way with it. I agree lissieloo I like her and Barney together.
