WIMBLEDON 2013- ladies' singles final day - lovely Lipsticki v bouncy Bartoli!

And it's a 2 pm start, not 1 as I thought.

Quite looking forward to it really, and I think Lipsticki will have the crowd on her side but Bartoli had made a lot of new fans.

Dh has decided we are having a barbequeHmm. Last time he did that, he invited his brother over during the final of the French! Shock.

There are doubles finals too- will post order of play when not stuck on my phone.

Her coach was her dad. Mauresmo is Fed team captain. Not sure who is coaching Bartoli now. DH thinks it's more of a team coaching effort with Mauresmo as off court mentor and the bloke she practices with.

Bartoli is the deserved champion and it is a testament to all the hard work she has put in over the years. This may be the start of many more titles for her, because she has the spirit, the shots and the serve to do it.

Congratulations to Marion, she held it together better on the day. Compensation for her previous defeat.

Commiserations to Sabine, hopefully she will have another chance in the future and can learn from today's experience.
