Totally amazing - really incredible someone at 70 can perform like this. Surely someone else has started a thread on this?

My thoughts exactly. Fantastic gig Smile

Monty27 · 29/06/2013 23:59

Haven't seen it, but fully intend to :)

crazynanna · 29/06/2013 23:59

Apart from the obvious ageing in his face, the whole performance could have been 40 years ago. He moves exactly the same.

I am amazed by how thin he is! I agree it's quite remarkable. I am also just about finished Keith Richard's autobiography and am amazed that he' is even alive, let alone anything else..Mind you, I went to see Bruce Springsteen last week and, at 63, would argue that he is even more amazing!!

suburbophobe · 30/06/2013 00:02

They were all fucking amazing!

What an energy!

I hope to grow old disgracefully like Mick and Keith!

(not doing to bad at 58 - LOL!)

roseblanche · 30/06/2013 00:03

Amazing gig. Just fan dabby dozey! 70 IS the new 30...

googlenut · 30/06/2013 00:04

To have that energy and physique at that age has left me stunned - and I'm the wrong side of 40 and a runner so not being ageist here.

if you're a man Hmm

suburbophobe · 30/06/2013 00:05

too

They looked like zombies, like The Returned!

Sounded OK though.

ImperialBlether · 30/06/2013 23:10

daimbardiva, lucky you seeing Bruce Springsteen! My sister saw him and said he played all of Born to Run straight through - did he do that when you saw him?

daimbardiva · 02/07/2013 12:36

imperial blether - no, but it was fantastic anyway, there was quite a lot he didn't play that I might have expected to hear (eg glory days) but he really opened my eyes to a lot of his earlier stuff that I wasn't familiar with..have been going mad on spotify since! He finished with an acoustic Thunder Road which made me cry! Definitley one of the best gigs ever :)

I was there and it was mind bowing. I was sad to see some reviews weren't great. The sound on the BBC wasn't great I noticed re watching it. They just looked such genuine friends. It was very touching.
