Hadn't watched corrie for years but have got hooked again. Get most of what's going on, but wondering what Tina's relationship to Rita is? Thanks

Rita is just kind to her and has taken her and Tommy under her wing as she has no children of her own and Tina is an orphan so has no one to look out for her

What happened to Tina's Mum I thought she was still alive?

Sorry - you are right (had a break from corrie a few years back) - I just assumed Tina had no one after her father died. She used to live with her mum at first but they seem to have "estranged" them somewhere along the line.

Tina also used to work in the Kabin with Rita and Norris
