Can someone explain why Michael gave up Scarlett in Enders?

So I must have missed one episode and never understood what happened for Michael to give up Scarlett to Janine. Did she blackmail him or something?

Janine said he could either give her up and see her occasionally or he could go to court and she would make sure he never saw her again. He took the first option knowing he didn't have the money to fight Janine in court.

That's how I remember it, might be wrong.

Oh ok thanks. I can't believe he gave her up because of that.. He would have had a good case and he definitely still would have had access or 50/50 custody.. (Yes I know it's not real but still!)

yep i agree,janine went of for months on end that would not look good in court,glad you asked this ?? as thought i had also missed something

Yeah that's why I was confused. She literally left her newborn and disappears and cuts Michael off from all her businesses so he was basically broke and trying to raise their child!

Then she comes back months later and just wants her baby back.. And gets her. So annoying!
