I know ths has been done before but I have searched and can't find the threads. This has happened to me before, is it just me who finds the search pretty poor? Anyway...
I am going to get some boxed sets for when I'll be breast feeding in a couple of months' time. To give you an idea of the sort of things I like, my favourite ever T V series have been Our Friends in the North, Brideshead Revisited, Bodies, The West Wing.....
Any recommendations? I don't mind older series, I enjoyed the 1970s Bouquet of Barbed Wire and Jewel in the Crown.

Poldark, Shine on Harvey Moon, House of Eliott, Dempsey and Makepeace, Moonlighting, Danger UXB.

They're all old, some really old and I have just listed my most favourite DVDs ever Blush

Friday Night Lights. Currently addicted and the guys are hot!

Breaking Bad. So very very good.

Broadwalk Empire was also good

Enjoy maternity! I have a 10wo DS and have started the watch ER on Sky Atlantic from the very beginning, loving it!

I'm also on maternity, box sets are keeping me sane!

Fringe!

ThreeBeeOneGee · 07/06/2013 19:10

Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones.

NeverQuiteSure · 07/06/2013 19:13

YY to Fringe and Game of Thrones

I am halfway through series one of House at the moment, and really enjoying it.

I almost never watch TV any more, just tend to have a box set going.

yawningbear · 07/06/2013 19:14

Six Feet Under, Mad Men, Downton Abbey and Sex in the City which saved my sanity on the many bleak nights that I fruitlessly tried to get DD to sleep. Though of course that won't happen to you OP Grin

yawningbear · 07/06/2013 19:15

Oh and Bodies, but Not to be watched prior to giving birth.

yawningbear · 07/06/2013 19:17

Sorry, just saw you have already watched Bodies, that is good.

Thank you! I have ordered some of these just now. I am told by my friend who knows me very well that I wouldn't like Game of Thrones, not sure why but I do trust her judgment.

I agree that Six Feet Under was very good.

bookbird · 07/06/2013 21:28

I would seriously think about a subscription to netflix or similar. it's £5.99 for unlimited online viewing, by the time you tot up a few box sets, you could get months of unlimited viewing.

I got netflix because it has house of cards. Worth the subscription for that alone.

KatyTheCleaningLady · 14/06/2013 22:41

Sons of Anarchy is on Netflix, as is Breaking Bad.

SoA is highly addictive and full of hotties.

guineapiglet · 15/06/2013 10:01

Yes would definitely recommend SoA for lots of reasons..mainly Charlie Hunaam also Justified........also we loved Hung which only ran for one series and was very funny and very rude I missed Breaking Bad so will try it on Putlocker

mrspaddy · 15/06/2013 10:05

Hi.. can you sign up for just one month no Netflix ? There is a free trial but does that mean you have to go on some kind of contract? Thanks

MrsMaryCooper · 15/06/2013 10:07

Justified
Ultra Violet
The Wire
Spooks
Breaking Bad
