I searched archives but all i cold find was people saying they hate it. I've caught it a few times since DS was born 9 months ago - began by being amazed and a little worried but I'm now at the point where I have to watch the 2.30 and 3.30 showings! I just think it's such a cool idea, DH wishes he'd thought of it first and wants to apply to be the 6th Wiggle (after Captain F!) Can't believe this has been going for more than a decade and I've never seen it before. (And I think I may be developing a bit of a crush on Greg Wiggle Blush)

I'm more concerned that I'm getting dragged into the seedy world of the Doodlebops.

coppertop · 26/05/2006 17:44

LOL! :o

I've only just discovered it recently myself because ds2 (3yrs) got so bored with all the double episodes of Big Cook Little Cook over on CBeebies. I don't know why but it's strangely watchable. Blush

anchovies · 26/05/2006 17:46

What channel is the wiggles on?

coppertop · 26/05/2006 17:48

Ds2 watches it on Nick Jr.

sorkycake · 26/05/2006 17:55

They are touring in the UK this Summer you know. We have tickets for 5th July in Newcastle! So excited!

BaggieBetty · 26/05/2006 21:48

Anthony does it for me. Must get out more.

YellowFeathers · 26/05/2006 21:52

DD loves it.
The Hot Potato/cold spaghetti song is a big hit here Grin

kipper22 · 27/05/2006 13:42

Sorry, had to go after I posted laast night and I'm off out again in a minute! Just wanted to let you know I was glad to have company in my sad little Wiggle world! We like the Do the Monkey song, and the Beep Beep Chugga Chugga Big Red Car. Do you think DS is probably a bit young for me to get away with taking him to the show? he will be 1 by then!

I hate them, we have just got the kids chanals as we were fed up with Cbeebies and i hate most of the programs on nicJr, i do like the backyardigans and button moon is on at 8.30 (i can't wait) Grin

geekgrrl · 27/05/2006 14:20

We love the Wiggles here Grin
Dd2 is Wiggle crazy and it's about the only thing she wants to watch and has been for 2 years - we have the full DVD collection, so all of us can sing the songs and even do the actions (yes, we're a complete bunch of saddos).
We're going to see them in concert again this year, went last year and had a super time (and we got to meet them! They were very nice in person, too).

kipper22 · 27/05/2006 18:07

Envy geekgirl! The concert clips in the programmes always look like they would be great fun.

Baggiebetty (great name btw!) I think DS looks a bit like Anthony - especially the daft grin. You can have him if you want? Wink

We were at the concert in Glasgow last year and it was fun, even for those over the age of 5! I was really surprised how much we enjoyed ourselves and didn't feel so bad that I knew most of the songs by heart.

We couldn't afford tickets this year as we were on holiday just a week ago but I would definitely go again if I had the cash. I mean, I would love to take dts to the concert, of course - ahem! I had strange looks from people when I excitedly told them that Jeff isn't tiny, he is the same height as me (5'8") like it was of any importance to anyone!

Beauregard · 27/05/2006 22:31

The wiggles must dieGrin

geekgrrl · 28/05/2006 09:41

how can you not like the Wiggles? The songs are catchy, fun but really child-friendly and they can actually sing.
At least my 6 year old dd sings Wiggles songs rather than Girls Aloud like her 6 year old cousin ('I'm just a love machine' etc)

Bomper · 28/05/2006 13:15

I like the Wiggles too, apart from Dorothy and her ruddy annoying laugh. Could easily strangle her!! However, the thought of finding Greg Wiggle (mentioned in the op) attractive makes my skin crawl - he is so pale and creepy!! Urghh. Anthony on the other hand is quite sweet!!

Jbck · 28/05/2006 17:07

I actually leave the room when they are on. Only one of them, prsume it's Anthony from previous posters, looks vaguely human all the others make my flesh crawl. eurghghghghgh.

JILS · 28/05/2006 17:17

DS loves the Wiggles!! Going to see them in Glasgow at beginning of July and don't know who's more excited, DS, DH or me!!Grin

Davros · 29/05/2006 21:26

Ugh, caught a bit of Wiggles in an advert on another DVD, utterly vile!

Whizzz · 29/05/2006 21:52

The Wiggles are cool - I'm just miffed that DS will now be at school when they tour near us so we can't go !!! Grin

eidsvold · 30/05/2006 07:22

dd1 was more a hi-5 fan than a wiggles fan until we went to a wiggles concert now she loves the wiggles......
