New Cesar Dog Food Advert

The one with the old guy and the little dog and the trip to the graveyard. What the hell is that all about and what has it got to do with dog food!

Man's best friend, and recognition of being there in happy and sad times. That's my intpretation.

Interpretation

It's subtle, poignant, heartwarming and highlights the emotional benefits of companion dogs. But, only if you like dogs.

Same advert with a cat would have the cat doing a poo at the cemetery and then wandering off to live with the nice lady next door, leaving the grieving widower all alone.

If you have a dog, you would understand it instantly.

Opening poster either has no soul - or has never had a dog!

I didn't understand it either ILove.

So what has it got to do with dog food. Nothing really. And yes, I have had several dogs.

I like it .. Made me well up.. Mans best friend an all that .. But then we have a little white dog an my dh is Italian .. An it just reminded me of us and how we could be ... Too deep I know .. And my pup likes Cesar ( given as a very rare treat)

I was just going to start a thread on this ad and found this one. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

It made me a little teary, and I like it much more than the previous ones!

The advert is about a large profit making company preying on people (elderly) who have lost loved ones by making out that the only companion you have left i.e. the dog, will love you more and you show your love for the dog if you feed him Cesar dog food.

Reading this thread, their sales pitch appears to be having the desired affect.
