Anyone else a trifle bemused? I mean, what was with people wandering around with torches and the lit phone box in the blackout? And the bloke accused of murder being tried for treason, and without the pathologist being called to give evidence at the trial? And the deserted underground station passageways full of ancient looking war posters although there was no reason for the public to be there and it can't have been later than early 1941?

I gave up after about half an hour, it was too gruesome for me (when the guy started on her head with the saw in the autopsy and then the tongue in the box - boak!)
