This is a thread for all fans of the weekday third rate soap Doctors. BBC1, 1.45pm.

I know in the last thread I said it was a second rate soap, but I've downgraded it to third rate given the recent lack of WTF storylines. Come on scriptwriters, stop being so seri-arse!

Regulars: The lovely Mrs T has her bob wig on and is waiting to sign you at the desk.
Newbies: All welcome. Join in the banter, ask any questions, we have verrrrrrrrry many experts on this thread. Smile

Oh, and a small favour to ask. Can someone kill Emma off please? Fankyouverymuch Grin

Haven't watched yet.

Oh dear, Raahh. Hope your DD is better soon. She must have been in a lot of pain. Were they able to help her?

Who - Your poor DS. I have loads of pins and plates in one of my ankles (some have been in there for 26 years and the rest for 20 years - separate accidents) and it doesn't cause me any bother at all, so whatever the outcome tomorrow he will be fine.

Maybe letting the Gobbyplods stay with no warning to Heston is Juuuuuulia's way of telling him to go home.

Raahh · 11/06/2013 17:59

Thanks Anne- she has antibiotics, and goes back to docs Thursday. She's much better now. Back to arguing with ds over the laptopGrin

cinnamongreyhound · 11/06/2013 18:06

Surely Julia would rather have Heston in her house than it be empty though? Suppose she could rent it out then or even sell it!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 19:43

Oh I hope they do the trick, Raahh. Arguing is a great sign! Grin

So is Heston renting out his house? Is he paying rent to Juuuulia? Surely not if she lets others stay?

Watching now. Oh, this actress has been in it before more than once, I'm sure.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 19:44

Hestembe are perfect together, aren't they?

Raahh · 11/06/2013 19:49

We always said Hestembe was destined to be, Anne- TRev was just a warm-upGrin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 19:50

Yes, Raahh. It made Heston see what he was missing!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 19:59

Oh this is great! I love Hestembe cooking together!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 20:11

How come 6tl doesn't have other work to do?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/06/2013 20:16

Well I enjoyed that, despite the WTF storyline. Hestembe are made for each other.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/06/2013 21:38

They are but I get the impression he thinks she's below him :(

bellabelly · 12/06/2013 13:51

I loved yesterday's episode, so funny, am surprised any of the actors managed to say their lines with a straight face!

Today's is a bit depressing so far, with the radio man.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/06/2013 16:45

Blimmin Childminding co-ordinator was visiting me to check over what we'd talked about the last time she visited but then whipped out a huge 'health check' form for us to fill in. I keep the TV on when the kids sleep as I feel background noise helps them to stay asleep, after explaining this she then very rudely imo said they are sleeping well now so can you turn that off. Had planned to vaguely follow while she was talking but will have to catch up later now!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/06/2013 18:07

Just checking in from hospital. DS had his arm pinned this afternoon, woke up in a great deal of pain and is drowsy now having had lots of painkillers. Think we will be staying here tonight. I could have watched Doctors as it happens he was in theatre over the relevant period, but went for coffee and fresh air instead.

MsNobodyAgain · 12/06/2013 19:23

cinnamon the Childminding Co-ordinator sounds a bit fiesty!

Who Hope your DS isn't in too much pain. Hopefully you won't be in long.

I am 2 days behind with my Doctors viewing Shock. I got that behind with other jobs during half term, I've hardly been in this week. I can't watch tonight as I have to settle the kids before The Apprentice is on. Planning to stay in tomorrow though.

madhairday · 12/06/2013 19:27

Ah, I found you again. I got very behind with Drs and have just caught up. Some particularly wtf episodes of late. The Gobbys and Fleas stands out Grin

Whoknows, poor DS, hope he feels much better soon.

Raahh · 12/06/2013 20:04

Haven't watched today's- but I noticed on Facebook it was written by Janet Dibley- a.k.a Elaine! Hope there are beanbags! Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 12/06/2013 20:16

Please no one post who gets booted out of The Apprentice! I'll have to watch it tomorrow.

MsNobodyAgain · 12/06/2013 20:31

No problem who. When I record it, I don't even switch the tv or radio on just in case it gets mentioned.

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 12/06/2013 20:51

I watched it while my ds1 was having his adenoids out whoknowswherethetimegoes. He went down at 1.30 and I didn't want to go away from the ward in case I didn't know when he'd come round. Noone else was in the family room so I watched then sat staring at the wall afterwards! Hope your ds isn't in pain too much long.

MsNobodyAgain · 13/06/2013 07:19

Is he ok cinnamon? So many of us encountering hospitals and doctors lately, it's like one of the scripts but without the home visits.

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 13/06/2013 08:05

It was in November so he's fine now, although I'm not convinced it made much difference to him! It was one of the worst days of my life, I cried so much and dh was home with ds2. I'm sure a lot of other people cope much better than I did, I felt so guilty!

MsNobodyAgain · 13/06/2013 08:19

Ah I see. It's horrid when a DC is having anything done. I even get tense taking mine to the dentist!

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 13/06/2013 08:36

I've had that horror recently too MsN, took both DCs for their checkup, they played up badly and I get really stressed at the thought of DS needing a filling, it would be a nightmare. DD did need one, went for it on Mon, she copes much better than I think DS would.

MsNobodyAgain · 13/06/2013 11:37

DS2 has gum disease. We have to see a special needs dentist but progress is slow. I am pleased if he even wafts a toothbrush in the general direction of his mouth Grin

Just watched last 2 days of Doctors. I loved the Gobby/Hestembe episode. Mrs T bashing the egg like it was Gobbys head.

Yesterdays was sad viewing.

Gobby keeps giving Gobbyplod a hard time, empty nest syndrome? Maybe the scriptwriters are gearing up for them splitting again?
