What's your favourite episode? Mine was the Christmas special when Jim and Barbara go to Denise and Daves for Christmas and they don't have the turkey defrosted!

I love Denise she's my hero! :)

The writing was genius and probably reflective of so many families in an exaggerated way. My mum is definitely Barbara!

I loved the theme music at the start - whenever I hear that music now it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :)

The queen of Sheba episode where nanna dies makes me cry my eyes out - that bit where Barbara is doing her hair and they're singing 'que cera'. Gets me ever time. Reminds me of my dysfunctional northern family :)

Oh yes I cried unashamedly at that episode.

I love how Denise goes for nearly a year without changing a nappy!!

Denise is so lazy and I should dislike her but I just can't! Love watching episodes when I'm skiving off ill from work and I'm home alone. My DH hates it so it's my 'home alone' treat! :)

I'd love a mum like Barbara too :) she's so caring and everyone takes advantage of her.

Antony got rich, that made me happy. Its such a good show but I missed this Christmas special past, gutted, hope they show it again soon!

Loved it for years but after The Queen of Sheba it went rapidly downhill. The characters became caricatures. Sad.
