Was it ever clarified whether Hershel and Maggie knew that Sophia was in the barn all along?

Seems odd that they'd be forgiven for keeping that a secret.

I thought they must have had an idea she was, but never explicitly knew. Was very sad when she came out though, wasn't it?

I don't have sky and am desperate to see series three but don't want to know a thing about it...please don't anyone put any spoilers on tis thread!! :-)

Oodsigma · 01/04/2013 22:39

Me too stuffez

M0naLisa · 01/04/2013 23:51

I dunno. It was very sad though :-(

They knew the group was looking for a 10(ish) year old girl. They must have known that there was a zombie girl in the barn, as they would have put her there. But there didn't seem to be much blame, although Hershal let the group move into the house in the next episode, which might mean that his guilty conscience overrode his anger at Shane killing his zombie collection.

PS For those still watching Season 2, no spoilers but Season 3 is really good....

Tortington · 02/04/2013 00:39

i was ready to throw in the towel after series two - it was so dire imo

super enjoying series three

M0naLisa · 02/04/2013 07:33

Yes series 3 MUCH better IMO

CheerfulYank · 02/04/2013 07:35

No, they didn't know.

Otis put her there as he was in charge of that.

ZolaBuddleia · 02/04/2013 07:43

But he wasn't catching them on his own, was he? The young lad was also helping, and the woman with reddish hair with the bucket of chickens would have known too. I felt they sort of glossed over that plot hole...

Love this prog! I don't think they specifically knew it was her, they just rounded them up as they found them and think some of the walkers were their family and they didn't want to let them go. Series 3 is great, but humans scarier than walkers!

CheerfulYank · 02/04/2013 07:57

Yes, but not always. And Otis would have easily been able to wrangle Sophia by himself, if she were alone.

When Patricia fed the Walkers it doesn't look as though she spent a lot time hanging around looking at them, plus it was dark-ish in the barn. If she just dumped the chickens and left she could have missed Sophia.

And Robert Kirkman has said that he did isn't know.

Poor Carol. :(

limitedperiodonly · 02/04/2013 08:36

Weird. I was thinking about this the other night. I think cheerfulyank is right. I still wonder how they manoeuvered them in without the others getting out.

Series 3 is better than 2. But 2 has its moments. I'll say no more than that Wink

ZolaBuddleia · 02/04/2013 09:13

I really enjoyed 2 and 3. Got a little tired of David Morrissey at times but all in all it's rollicking good stuff isn't it?
