Anyone else watching this? I'm really enjoying it so far.

I am too, it's really sweet. Was it on yesterday? Have I missed this weeks?

wintera · 29/03/2013 07:48

Think you might have done. There's been three eps on so far. The second one ended with him finding his flat flooded. This week's followed on from that. His voices are fantastic. Love his Ian McKellen voice.

I watched it on demand - I loved the visit to his mums with his nan constantly putting her foot in it! Also the trip to the zoo with the blind lady and I love his paranoid newsagent mate!!

wintera · 29/03/2013 13:05

I liked the child porn bit in the pc shop. That had me in stitches! 'then why is he doing a sexy pose'! Lol

I've just watched it about 5 minutes ago as I recorded it to watch. I like it. The voices are great

wintera · 29/03/2013 13:13

Also really good to see Jo Hartley in it who plays Jean. I'm a fan of Shane Meadows and she's in a few of his films. So nice to see her doing comedy. Hope she's in it more.

His voices are fantastic. I think his Ian McKellen and Morgan Freeman are my favourites so far.

He is hot too. I definitely would. The action is a bit slow paced for me but loving his new friendship with his newsagent. His son seems lovely (and gay) too.

SpanishFly · 31/03/2013 21:59

It's funny seeing Arby from Utopia as such a sweet/innocent character - it didn't seem possible!

louisianablue2000 · 01/04/2013 00:10

DH and I are still giggling about the Barrister joke in the most recent episode. I like hoe gentle and slow paced it is.

wintera · 01/04/2013 13:52

Did anyone see him being interviewed on Alan Carr's chatty man? Apparently he got his big break on YouTube! Here's the vid -

I've watched two episodes. I can't bear it. I don't find it funny or entertaining.

NoelHeadbands · 03/04/2013 22:09

I like it.

Two things :-

  1. I find him disturbingly sexy

  2. he's such a good mimic, so how can he not know that Ronnie Corbett is SCOTTISH??

SpanishFly · 03/04/2013 22:46

The Ronnie Corbett thing really irritates me too! It's the one he's really shit at. But he seems to know that cos he always tells us it's Ronnie Corbett!

NoelHeadbands · 03/04/2013 22:55

Yes he does, you're so right Grin

Chipstick10 · 04/04/2013 08:26

I also have watched an episode and I don't get it. He is more than irritating.

MorelliOrRanger · 05/04/2013 07:39

We watched one episode of this and yes he's lovely, but I just didn't get it.

Confused
SpanishFly · 05/04/2013 08:48

what dont you get?

Minimoog · 10/04/2013 01:50

Loving this show. I saw it is writen by Matt Morgan. Is that the Matt Morgan who used to do the Radio2 show with Russell Brand, anyone know?
If so I'd like to point out in that case that the writer is HOT too Wink

wintera · 10/04/2013 13:04

Mini - yes it is the very same Matt Morgan who worked on the Russell Brand radio show. He was the lead writer on the other show that Terry Mynott was in, think it was called VIPs, also on channel four. Did you hear the special one off radio show that was on the other week with Russell, Matt, Noel and Mr Gee? Think The Mimic was mentioned on that. Matt is now married and a Dad!

I've just watched all the episodes on 4OD. Absolutely loved it. Very good show. Fab voices. And yes, he is hawt!

trickycat · 12/04/2013 00:37

I enjoyed this too. it was sort of understated and gentle.

I am embarrassed to admit ... I wondered if all the voices were really him or if they were digitally added. I can't get the clip someone linked to work but I'll happily believe that they are all his. Blush

trickycat · 12/04/2013 00:38

Is there going to be another series?

wintera · 12/04/2013 07:57

Yeah they're definitely all his. He was quite honest when he was on Alan Carr saying there are some he can't do. But I think his Morgan Freeman and Ian McKellen are fab! Not sure if there's a second series, but hoping there is.

OP posts:
SpanishFly · 12/04/2013 09:36

Presumably it's him who does the "More than Freeman" advert>
