Sky+ set so I can ff the ads! Thanks for the reminder!

Happypiglet · 21/03/2013 18:31

Oo thanks for that info. I had my third at home with an Independent Midwife so will watch with interest. It was a great decision for me.

Looking forward to this!

RunningDeer · 21/03/2013 21:05

Oh thanks, saw your post just in time to switch on. Will be interesting as I had my third at home as well, a wonderful experience.

PickleSarnie · 21/03/2013 21:11

Watching. Was really scared they were going to be lentil weaving hippies but they seem really nice and "normal".

Gutted I didnt think of a gazebo and fairy lights! Smile

MunchkinsMumof2 · 21/03/2013 21:15

Wow, 9lb 13oz, gorgeous calm baby!

TeggieCampbeggBlegg · 21/03/2013 21:16

Lovely lovely lovely.

And then a chuffing formula advert. Grrrr.

OP posts:
Tincletoes · 21/03/2013 21:18

But Teggie, look how sunny it gets when you switch to formula!

pooka · 21/03/2013 21:24

God! Had to rewind to see the ad.

So is autumn and freezing depressing winter for breastfeeding and sunshine and flowers after you decide to "move on".

Actually laughed out loud. Grin

TeggieCampbeggBlegg · 21/03/2013 21:27

Tincle - my 14 yr old daughter pointed that bit out.

Abyway. Back to the births.
Good strong women.

Wonder which ones of them are on MN Smile

MunchkinsMumof2 · 21/03/2013 21:35

Love Mena (sp) she seems like a lovely calm woman, hope she has a fab birth. Imagine being on call during your son's wedding Shock

Littlemissexpecting · 21/03/2013 21:36

I wish they showed more of the births and less of the midwife.

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 21/03/2013 21:48

Crying my eyes out. What a way to greet your baby.

sailorsgal · 21/03/2013 21:48

Amazing. Grin

I had a mum email me on Monday who had a lovely waterbirth the day before. I was so pleased for her.

MunchkinsMumof2 · 21/03/2013 21:49

I'm glad Lyndsey had a good birth, as a fellow horrific 1st time childbirth sufferer it's lovely to see a calm homebirth without intervention.

sweetkitty · 21/03/2013 21:51

Am loving it, have had 2 homebirths, none in water though.

PickleSarnie · 21/03/2013 21:54

Cant believe the first ladies partner got in the pool. My DH refused to get in. I told he was in charge of the sieve but he was having none of it!

As it happens, DS was born on living room floor so he was in charge of coffee making and biscuit bringing instead.

TeggieCampbeggBlegg · 21/03/2013 22:00

[happy sigh]

I think the last delivery shows why 'low risk' can't be predicted. Thank god baby ok but I couldn't risk it.

sweetkitty · 21/03/2013 22:09

Personally I wouldn't have had a homebirth for my first baby. First labours are often unpredictable, you don't actually know if you can birth a baby, if you will dilate etc I know there's always a risk with subsequent pregnancies but I think once you've had a straightforward VB chances are you'll have another. My first labour was a straight forward 4h 20m VB, had a few issues delivering the placenta so chose physiological third stages for the next 3.
