(This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm)

Now, we're in a bit of a dull spell. We need it bringing back to life. Charge the paddles, call 'clear' and mentally zap this soap back to life.

Hang in there people. It will get better I may be lying Grin

Thought she was very much like Chesney! Very annoying though, surely she'd be getting some help even if her benefits were being reassessed, she'd still have free prescriptions I would have thought and the school would give him a school dinner if she forgot his lunch surely? I'd expect ds1's school to feed him and charge me later if I somehow forgot lunch.

Chris is so whiney, for goodness sake how old is he? Wouldn't be surprised if his mum did want him out, surely he should have moved out some time ago?!?

Have to say I feel a bit sorry for TBFE, they were having an affair after all so it's not as if she wasn't happy to be with him and her husband. I think he's just trying to look after her.

hoping it's the right person

JParkson · 02/04/2013 15:26

I think the Rev/Mrs T storyline is sweet, but I do think she's a little enthusiastic with her 'good work'...! I liked the Rev when he first appeared 'undercover', but the slicked back hair and the big glasses, ick! They do nothing for him!

Gobby makes me laugh - DH can't stand her and her accent! I did wonder if Gobby might be a secret MNetter, as there was an episode where she, Julia and Elaine were posing for a nude thing, and she mentioned lady gardens... I've never heard/seen that in any context except on here! Storyline for them... tricky one really. Her abortion storyline hit me hard (hate the thought of people doing that) and when PloddyRob was helping with the baby-marketing line, I thought she had a point when he wanted to look into fostering/adopting. Although he's a little muddled with what he wants to do!

General storyline? Heston finally has someone he can settle down with, and same for Jimmi. Maybe that Princess Bubblegum comes back?! Zara and Daniel, well, sort it out ffs! :o

JParkson · 02/04/2013 15:27

Oh yes it's me!

JParkson · 02/04/2013 15:30

I was thinking the same re the benefits theme.

I think I need to watch today's again, just for that storyline, as I was juggling kicking DS off to the park, back again and back out again as well as persuading both DDs to take a nap. I wrote off the storyline to begin with, thinking it was just for today, so I didn't pay much attention.

I like the ones that go on for a good couple of episodes though, so I shall rewatch and reassess :)

Horsemad · 02/04/2013 16:15

Hello, missed today - dentist for a filling Sad is it worth watching???

Horsemad · 02/04/2013 16:16

Oh and welcome JP Smile

MsNobodyAgain · 02/04/2013 16:28

It seems to be a 2 parter horsemad so if you don't watch todays, you may be a little lost tomorrow.

Re the benefits/prescription, all you have to do is show a letter entitling you to benefits or your exemption card to the pharmacist and you would get the stuff free even if your benefits are being reassessed.

More lost than normal MsNo???!! Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 02/04/2013 16:39

Grin I meant to add that!

Summary is:

  • Mrs T is organising a fundraising ball for people in poverty abroad.
  • struggling mum on suspended benefits guilt tripped her, 'charity begins at home'. So Mrs T is going to her flat tomorrow to do something (not sure what) for her and her little lad
  • Zara turned down Daniels offer of a shag.
  • TBFE wanted to see 6tl, she said no. He was trying to get Chris to apply for other jobs and he saw his whiny arse and said he was staying at The Mill.

Please excuse me while I throw myself at the scriptwriters feet and say again...please.make.it.stop.

Just kill her off, and Chris, and FOD.

Horsemad · 02/04/2013 16:48

I wouldn't turn down the offer of a shag from Daniel Grin

Raahh · 02/04/2013 19:29

Just catching up- bit of a sad one really. Felt sorry for the little lad and his dumpster pizza. Sad

Totally fed up with 6tl-and she looked like she's had her hair done. Also, the coroners inquest has come around quickly, hasn't it?

The whole talk of poverty was very topical, given the number of people who from the beginning of this month are going to be far worse offSadAngry

Raahh · 02/04/2013 19:31

I hope Mrs T isn't going to take round a Botswanan (sp) stewGrin

Raahh · 02/04/2013 19:33

Oh dearSad Mrs t back at her judgmental best tomorrow then.

mrsdevalle · 03/04/2013 13:50
