(This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm)

Now, we're in a bit of a dull spell. We need it bringing back to life. Charge the paddles, call 'clear' and mentally zap this soap back to life.

Hang in there people. It will get better I may be lying Grin

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 27/03/2013 18:22

Hi, I usually lurk and watch doctors when ds allows me Grin Its all changed since the good ole days with the alternative doctor and her leather clad solicitor husband and the ditzy receptionist, sometimes I mourn them all.

Who would you all bring back?Grin

Can anyone tell me if they think Mrs T and the vicar are a rather strange couple, although I did love them snogging by the tree today. And is jimmy and daniel ok again now? And Al gets on my nerves abit.

Sparklingbrook · 27/03/2013 18:24

The Vicar is a bad 'un for sure Dreams.

MsNobodyAgain · 27/03/2013 18:27

Hi dreams

Al annoyed me at first but I have grown rather fond of his straight talking.

I would bring Ruth back just to piss everyone off

Yay !!! New blood fans!

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 27/03/2013 18:39

Oh, Vics bad Shock he did seem very overly interested in Africa at the start but I thought that was his wooing of MrsT do we know what hes up too?

Ah Ruth, bless her I must admit I was strangley drawn to her, I miss Vivien her and MrsT would make a formidable team, no one would get past them to see a (ahem) doctor.

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 27/03/2013 18:40

Its a guilty secret of mine Oodsigm, no one in RL knows I watch Blush

Raahh · 27/03/2013 18:40

Hello! To Where and Dreams Grin

I cannot stand quiche. But then I don't like cheese (except cheshire) or egg. Or milk. I could eat the pastry by itself...

I'll be so disappointed if TRev actually end up being an actual happy couple. It is against Soap law. (Although the Gobbys are pretty stable- like the Duckworths of Letherbridge.) Something has to scupper it- like Mrs T's husband not actually being dead. Or Rev having a secret love child. Or being a cross-dresser (because that is an underused plot device, that one)Grin

WhereBeThatBlackbirdTo · 27/03/2013 19:31

I must admit I haven't taken it seriously enough to be able to name names but I will, promise!

I struggle with all the rugged dark haired men and get very confused with all their shenanigans. And the voice-overs - yea gods, they're annoying.

I wonder if someone still has those mugs ...

See you tomorrow

MsNobodyAgain · 27/03/2013 21:12

I am in the heaven that is catching up on my Doctors watching whilst clutching my furry hot water bottle.

Bliss. Goodnight all.

Just watched today's and I'm delighted we have new recruits! Grin

Can't believe it was yet another cross-dressing episode. Have they put the writers on a loop of cross-dressing, controlling mothers and locking Jimmi in a confined space?

Loved loved loved TRev today! So sweet! Shame it was spoiled by more of Sam. Will they ever let him die and go away?? Are we forever to be haunted by voiceovers from him??

Oh Dreams I mourn the loss of George and Ronnie too. Ronnie directs a lot of episodes though, and is married to George in real life, so I harbour a hope they will be lured back in. Bracken is probably a teenager now!

MsN - suggesting bringing back Ruth is not funny. Have you contracted Lyme Disease? It is the only explanation for such madness!

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 27/03/2013 22:16

Just going up to bed to watch it now (I sometimes persuade DH to let me have Corrie on downstairs but Doctors might be pushing it).

cinnamongreyhound · 27/03/2013 22:37

I started watching about the time George slept with the blond dr who was later in a wheelchair (from climbing accident?).

I loved Michelle, although the bits when she was on the ward for injured soldiers was a bit hard going. And Archie, he was lovely. Miss Simon too but definitely not Ruth or Freya! She's very thin now. And I did like Elaine even if she was destined to be miserable in every aspect of her life :(

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/03/2013 22:46

That was Nick, Cinnamon. Best death scene ever. Actually one of the best moments in Doctors ever. It should happen more often (I'm looking at you 6tl).

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/03/2013 22:49

Oh, and Nick was in the wheelchair because of being in a car accident where George was driving (hit a skip I think) hence her feeling guilty and giving him a sympathy shag.

I think the climbing accident happened when he was already in a wheelchair.

One of the things I loved about the lead up to his death was that he had actually had a miraculous recovery and was walking again before the lorry smashed into him. Hahaha!

(I don't usually laugh at people getting hit by a massive lorry, honestly. But Nick deserved it.)

mrsdevalle · 28/03/2013 07:06

Woah, woah, hang on, stop a sec - he had a climbing accident, in a wheelchair????

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2013 07:10

I don't remember him actually dying just that he had died. Remember him climbing around his bedroom trying to walk and generally being really stubborn and grumpy. Had 6 months watching then went back to work for 8 months before starting childminding so guess I missed a bit in that gap Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 28/03/2013 08:35

Freya is thin??? Linky please.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/03/2013 09:13

Mrsd Haha, he didn't take the wheelchair with him, but he didn't have the use of his legs when he was climbing. I think.

Cinnamon it was great - he was happy, walking again, saved Bracken's life and then went to get a ball from the road for a young boy. Bang! Hit by a huge truck!

Just found it on You Tube - about three and a half minutes into this: - made me laugh at the end as on the following day's preview was the guy who plays the Rev! Doctors does love to recycle actors!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/03/2013 09:19

Oh my God! Just looked at the next episode to see who the Rev played and he was the driver of the truck that killed Nick! Oh that is so funny!

Maybe that's the Rev's deep dark secret! Although it seems he has changed his name as well as his occupation.

Horsemad · 28/03/2013 09:27

Wow! Perhaps he found God after the accident Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2013 09:27

Freya thin

Raahh · 28/03/2013 09:31

Wow- she's very stern in the thin pic- is that 'acting' ? Grin
Nicks death scene was fantastic- it was just so unintentionally funnyGrin

MsNobodyAgain · 28/03/2013 09:49

It is amazing what you forget. In 2008 I was breaking up with my ex but seeing that clip made me realise I was watching back then.

V funny about the Rev. And Freya doesn't suit thin imho. It is like a forced thin, not natural.

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2013 12:02

Rev wasn't nice in that clip but he looked less smarmy!
