(This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm)

Now, we're in a bit of a dull spell. We need it bringing back to life. Charge the paddles, call 'clear' and mentally zap this soap back to life.

Hang in there people. It will get better I may be lying Grin

I can't remember the last time I had a good week!!! I am always whingeing Grin

I have salvaged most things and crammed the kitchen fridge full to bursting.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 19:44

Oh MsN, that's horrible. Our garage fridge did that just after Christmas and it stunk to high heaven. Hope you didn't lose much. Apparently the temperature extremes in a garage break fridges.

Haven't watched today's yet, will watch tomorrow while DD is at pre-school.

I had my first post deletion today - that makes me a fully-fledged MNer, doesn't it?

Raahh · 20/03/2013 19:48

Envy Anne - nearly 7 years, and I've not been deleted. but I'm a scaredy cat wuss who doesn't stray from crap telly threads

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2013 19:50

Sorry about the fridge MsN, but I am a bit Envy of you for having a garage, we're in a garage-less Victorian terrace.

What did you get deleted for Anne, I noticed a thread about an old book full of deletions earlier.

MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 20:06

Anne I insist you PM with details of why you got deleted! How exciting. You rebel... Grin

Who I used to live in a garage-less Victorian terrace. I loved it. Then we moved to a modern semi and we had to extend when I got up-duffed with twins after DD1.

I've had my moneys worth out of the fridge though. I have had it over 10 years.

OP posts:
MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 20:07

DD1?? I've only got one DD.

Brain has gone poof!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 20:11

It took me 4 years, Raahh! But I was in a bit of a bad mood yesterday and today, so have been quite blunt!

Who It was a light-hearted thread about things you look back on in child-rearing and realise weren't important. A miseryguts Someone decided to bang on and on about how important it was to feed children healthy food and said that people who complained children were fussy were irritating and brought it on themselves by offering the children unhealthy food.

After her being rude and horrible to quite a lot of people I was naughty and copied and pasted a post she had made on another thread last month where she admitted she is incredibly fussy, basically only eats carbohydrates and thinks she has an eating disorder. I felt it was relevant considering she was making herself out to be Annabel Karmel when in fact she could be the star of Faddy Eaters.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 20:14

Cross-posted, MsN!

Whoops! Will I get in trouble again for posting about it on this thread? I'm going to get banned at this rate, aren't I? What am I going to do? I couldn't live without this thread! Shock

MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 20:21

It's ok Anne. I've worked it out by stalking you reading that thread. Grin

Don't get banned FGS. Us Doctors fans have to stick together as we are so few and far between.

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2013 20:23

I have been known to get very cross on threads where people suggest that fussy eating is caused by parents who pander and if I had only fed DS (pathologically fussy) whatever we we eating and no alternatives ever then I wouldn't have this problem. just as well I didn't notice that thread

Actually fussy eating is on my list of subjects to not get sucked into, alongside WOHM/SAHM, anything to do with weddings, Mrs/Ms. I mainly stick to telly, Flylady and prolapses Confused.

Raahh · 20/03/2013 20:28

We won't let you get banned Anne !

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 20:35

Thanks for the support! I am not concerned at all about your stalking, MsN, it makes me feel wanted! Grin

Who - Your list of topics made me laugh! I usually stick to telly and property/DIY, however for some reason over the last couple of days I've posted about Bf v FF, fussy eating, baby names, MNHQ night moderation policy, and just now I posted on a wedding one. I'm just spoiling for a fight aren't I? Where can I find a SAHM v WOHM one to complete the set?? Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2013 20:41

I've just spotted your knitting comment!

Try the one about the new childcare allowance, I posted on it this morning and walked away, i am firmly on the fence re SAHM/WOHM having done both and there are so many factors involved but I find many of the opinions on MN about it really press my buttons.

Anyway, should I waste half an hour of my precious evening watching today's Doctors?

MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 20:43

I stay mostly on the Telly Addicts threads but occasionally stray into Lone Parents, and I read the Dating thread in Relationships every single day, even though I don't date Hmm

I've ordered a fridge freezer. £210. Ouch!

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 20:44

Grin Yes, that was a bit flippant, wasn't it?

Oh, I'll go and have a look over there then.

MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 20:44

I've not watched who but from the comments up thread it seems worth a go.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 20:55

Who Had a look but I'm afraid I wimped out. Clearly I'm not as brave as I thought I was!

£210 MsN? Ouch! How long will it take to arrive?

Oodsigma · 20/03/2013 20:58

I'm mainly on tv now. Just hidden pregnancy, I loiter in feeding & lurk in AIBU. Have a few regular threads scattered about.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2013 21:09

Bloody great, just noticed DS scratching his head for the second time today and guess what, he's crawling in headlice. Sent him to bed but we'll have to get up early and start combing. Couldn't see any on DD, but DS snugglesinto my bed with me every morning and I would be surprised if I haven't picked them up

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 21:12

Oh yuck! Poor you, Who. I am dreading DD getting them, I'm almost phobic about it. Every day I liberally spray her hair with the Vosene nit-repellent leave-in conditioner (which probably doesn't actually do anything), plait her hair and then spray her liberally with hairspray to ward them off. Bet she gets them anyway.

And on that note I'm off to bed, scratching my head in sympathy.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/03/2013 21:16

We've got a bit lax about it all, having not had them for a couple of years, stopped bothering with the Vosene. Oh well.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/03/2013 21:20

MNHQ have just sent me an email in response to my query as to why my post was deleted. Even though it isn't against the rules they thought it wasn't in the spirit of the site. Hmm

And now I really am off to bed!

MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 21:58

I think they make it up as they go along sometimes Anne. Fridge arrives Monday. I can manage til then.

Who I hope you don't get nits. Horrible things. I still wash my DCs with the Vosene nit shampoo and I don't allow DD to have her hair down in school.

Just watched todays. I thought the TRev kiss was lovely. Although the Rev did look a tad 'pouncy'. Like a snake looking at a mouse.

OP posts:
MsNobodyAgain · 20/03/2013 22:03

Meant to say also who that DD and DS2 were the worst for nits. DS1 never got them despite his partial sight meaning he is closer than a close thing to everyone and anyone. Go figure Confused

OP posts:
cinnamongreyhound · 20/03/2013 22:12

Haven't had them since I was 8 and ds's have avoided so far. Had one minded child with them, the mum hasn't noticed. I'm scratching now just thinking!
