I've decided. I actually can't stand Girls and I'm not watching it anymore.

Overhyped that's what it is. It's taken me until halfway through the second season to realise it. Even my 26 year old pixie friends have stopped watching and they made me in the first placeb. When it's funny it's hysterical but the laughs are few and far between. I didn't need to see Hannah's bum crack this week and now that lovely Irish actor has gone there's really no attraction. I know you fans will sy it's not meant to be the next SATC but there's no denying some of it is a blatant rip off. I may be old but I'm laughing much more at the SATC re runs.

I really really like it- but this weeks was dull and rubbish. Which is weird because Jessa is my favourite so in theory it should have been good.

Oh God me too. The more I watch it, the more I want to punch Hannah in the face. Repeatedly. With a brick. And it's definitely a thinly-veiled SATC rip-off.

Thanks car. That's exactly it. Is Jesse pregnant in real life? When she announced to her Inlaws that she was an ex smack head I thought it was hysterical. Its not enough for me though. The bath scene was ott as well. As if.

I also feel like the entire thing is just a way for Lena Dunham to say "Yes I'm comfortable with my perfectly normal body!" by stripping off all the time. But the fact that she feels the need to do that suggests to me that she's actually not that happy with it at all.

I love it , however I do find it odd how it swings between outrageously funny to quite depressing also I have to admit I think Jessa is so beautiful , very natural for American television !

If she can do an American accent she will go far.

I can't stand the way if swings up and down either. It's not consistent. I don't understand how it's won all those awards.

last episode saw hannahs bf get hot by car so wanted to watch 2nd series

kept watching and thought why am i watching this

I watched about 4 episodes then got a bit bored. It just didn't make me think "I want to watch more of this".

I thought I would love it and it would be great but it's such a disappointment and I am not enjoying it at all. So fed up of seeing Hannah either naked or shagging too!

It is a bit over hyped. It has its moments but the scene with Jessa and her dad on the swings was painfully bad.

I watch it.

I don't see it as a SATC rip-off really as the lifestyles in SATC were quite aspirational in a way but I don't think anyone would aspire to the lives of the Girls.

It's not always comfortable viewing and I can't say I enjoy it as such but there is something about it that keeps drawing me back.

I feel like a lot of the episodes start out well but sort of peter out towards the end which is disappointing. For example, I thought the episode where Adam and Ray had the dog started well but went nowhere.

I watched the first three or four and just gave up - I hated the characters, they were so self-absorbed. They weren't like 20 somethings, it was like watching 15 year olds.

I don't understand why anything is worth sticking with just for the odd spark of brilliance. My life is too short for that and my sky planner too full.

Agree about Lena constantly stripping off. And her tattoos are just too much they look awful.

I had to give up.

It gave me the same feeling I got when I watched Kids. But Kids had a really important moral message and the odd likeable character, whereas Girls has NO likeable or sympathetic characters. They aren't just flawed, they're unpleasantly flawed. To the extent you do wanna smash their faces with bricks!

I'm watching it avidly and also with great curiosity as I don't understand why it's won all those awards and Lena Dunham is considered so talented.

I feel it's lecturing me on how 'normal' women's bodies are OK but if truth be total Lena's body repulses me. There is a reason why beautiful people get nekkid! We want to, and enjoy seeing them naked.

I also don't find it funny at all. It's interesting though, and I will continue watching for that reason. It's certainly original. I find it very different to SATC, in fact nothing like it at all. Shame, I loved SATC Smile
